CoronaVirus spread prevention:Municipal Council Rajouri holds meeting with concerned departments

Rajouri,March,17: To create awareness among the general public about Novel CoronaVirus infection and to ensure the interdepartmental coordination in preventing the spread of this deadly Virus infection in the district,the Municipal Council Rajouri on Tuesday held a meeting with the concerned officers of the Health,Malaria and PHE department here at Town Hall Rajouri.

Executive Engineer PHE Rajouri,Mushtaq Ahmed,HOD Community Medicine,GMC Rajouri,Dr.Syed Qadir,District Malaria Officer,Jamal Din and staff members of health and PHE department were present during the meeting.

Chairman Municipal Council Rajouri,Arief Jatt,Vice Chairman Municipal Council Rajouri,Bharat Bushan and ward councillors were also present on the occasion.

HOD Community Medicine,GMC Rajouri while speaking on the occasion said that CoronaVirus is a lethal virus which transmits very fast from person to person.He expressed an immediate need to break up this chain of transmission as there is no treatment once this virus infects a person.He also urged upon the public not to panic as this not only creates mess out of things but also lowers our presence of mind and thinking power to react properly in such situations.

While speaking during the meeting,the Executive Engineer PHE said that PHE department is taking all necessary steps to provide clean drinking water supply to the general public.He added that the process of bleaching of water shall be carried out at day and night to ensure that water supplied to the general public is free of germs.He urged upon the public to clean up their suntanks after every fifteen days so that chances of infection are reduced to some extent.

Vice Chairman Municipal Council Rajouri said that the cooperation of the general public with the administration is a must to fight with this deadly virus.

Chairman Municipal Council Rajouri said that Municipal Committee Rajouri is committed to ensure proper cleanliness of the town.He also urged upon the staff members of the health,PHE department and ward councillors to spread awareness about CoronaVirus infection in the society so that the general public is saved from this deadly virus.
