Congress Holds Symbolic Protest Against “Vote Chori” on Dal Lake Banks in Srinagar

SRINAGAR NOV 24:-The Congress Party on Saturday staged a unique and symbolic protest on the banks of Dal Lake in Srinagar, denouncing what it described as “vote chori” (vote theft). The demonstration was led by Srinagar Youth Congress President Yasir Mandoo.

Addressing the gathering, Mandoo said that India has long been admired worldwide for its communal harmony, but that image has suffered in recent years. “The BJP has not only damaged the social fabric of our nation but has now attacked the democratic values for which our country is known. Their hunger for power has endangered the very essence of democracy,” he stated.

Several senior Youth Congress leaders, including Mohammad Shafi, Saqib Sultan, Er. Basharat Wani, Mohsin Wani, Syed Iqbal, Waseem Ullah, Zahid Mir, Sahil, and others also participated in the protest.
