RAJOURI MAY 03:–On Friday a complaint has been lodged with police against an in-charge headmaster for allegedly using corporal punishment on an 8-years-old class 3rd student at government middle school in Kotranka subdivision of Rajouri district, which seriously injured his ear.
The student has been identified as Shabab Ahmad s/o Mohd Shabir, a student at government model school in Upper Kandi.
At present Shabab is under treatment at Associated Hospital Government Medical College (AH GMC) Rajouri.
On the written complaint of father, a case has been registered against the in-charge headmaster at Kandi police station under different sections of law.
Mohd Shabir informed that his son after reaching school went to drink water with his colleagues.
As the students created noise, in-charge headmaster Mohd Sharief got annoyed and started beating Shabab even with kicks.
The irritated in-charge headmaster then held the ear of Shabab from ear and pushed him on the ground with force which resulted in serious injury to ear and it started bleeding.
“In-charge headmaster brought Shabab to a nearby medical shop and after initial treatment brought shabab to home and without informing about the incident left our home” said Mohd Shabir adding that he was not at home at that time.
He added, when the family noticed that bleeding had not stopped, Shabab was shifted to CHC at Kotranka for treatment.
Doctor at CHC after noticing serious injury to ear and after required treatment referred Shabab to AH GMC Rajouri for specialised treatment.
Father of the Shabab have demanded stringent action in this matter after lodging a formal complaint at Kandi police station.
