BHADERWAH : Advocate Mohd Majid Malik expressed dismay over the sluggish approach of administration in mitigating problems of people arising from recent snowfall in Chenab Valley of Jammu Province. Heavy snowfall in the Chenab Valley of Jammu Province has caused power breakdown in the region. Since last five days , there is no electricity in Bhaderwah , Doda, Kishtwar , Ramban and other parts of the region . Advocate Mohd Majid Malik from Bhaderwah said PDD department is trying to restore power supply but to no avail as ground level workers are with out infrastructure and equipments to replace the damage machinery , poles , wires , transformers and other important things . Advocate Mohd Majid Malik urged upon Governor Satya Pal Malik to look into the problem of Chenab Valley and keeping in view the problems of the area grant Hill Development Council status and division status to Chenab Valley and a separate department of Chenab Valley affairs should be established in Civil Secteriat Jammu and Kashmir. Malik while expressing disappointment over the slothful approach of the present Governor administration in dealing with the problems arising after recent snowfall in Chenab Valley said, “People’s expectations of what administration should be doing after snowfall have been met with disappointment. He also criticised the Politicans of Chenab Valley for their silence on the issue and also appeal to people to teach them lesson by isolating .Malik said no one in Kashmir and Jammu recognised the problems and miseries of Chenab Valley people it is the right of Chenab Valley people to demand Hill Development Council on the pattern of Ladakh and separate revenue division .Malik said if political leaders of Chenab Valley not clear their stand on separate division to Chenab Valley then people of Chenab Valley will definitely teach them a lesson in the interest of their future generation .
