Unauthorised absence: Explanation from 3 teachers; April monthly salaries withheld.

RAJOURI APRIL 16:–Chief Education Officer (CEO) Poonch on Tuesday during his surprise visit to various schools in Poonch and Kunylan education zones found that class work in Boys HSS Poonch and in HSS Jhulass has not started despite the current academic session (2024-25 begins from 1st April.
For dereliction of duties on part of both the principals and taking serious note of his already issued instructions to start class work, CEO Poonch has fined each Principal with Rs 1000/- for dereliction of duties.
CEO, in his order also mentioned that during a visit to Boys HSS he found the staff playing carom at 10.30 am.
During a visit to a middle school in Mohalla Azad, CEO found three teachers marked as on duty for evaluation in the MSE examination at Govt Girls HSS Sheesh Mahal (Poonch).
But when the CEO visited Girls HSS Sheesh Mahal, he was informed by the principal that the evaluation work is already over and none among the three teachers (from MS Mohalla Azad) visited this school on Tuesday & their smart attendance was shown as ‘absence’.
Vide his office order No. CEOP/P&S/1960-67 dt 16/4/2024, CEO Poonch directed Zonal Education Officer Poonch to call an explanation of the three teachers, namely Jasbir Singh, Manmeet Kour, & Gagandeep Kour, and submit the report within 2 days.
CEO in his order has also withheld the April month’s salaries of these teachers till further order.
