CEO attached with Director Education office, inquiry initiated .

RAJOURI NOVEMBER 22:– The Government of Jammu & Kashmir (School Education Department) in order (No.1641-Educ of 22 /11/21) issued on Monday has attached Chief Education Officer (CEO) Rajouri with the office of Director School Education, Jammu.
The order further reads: “It is further ordered that in-depth inquiry shall be conducted by the Director School Education, Jammu, who shall submit the inquiry report within seven days positively from the date of issuance of this order”.
Pertinent to mention that earlier vide the Government orders (Education Department) issued on November 6 & 7, transfer orders of 50 teachers (order issued by CEO on 16/1021) & the tentative transfer list of teachers, district cadre Rajouri framed/issued (issued on 1/11/21for calling objections if any) by Chief Education Officer (CEO) Rajouri were kept in abeyance.
The orders had also directed the Director School Education, Jammu to conduct the inquiry –after several complaints against the CEO lodged by the affected teachers– into the matter and asked to submit the inquiry report within 7 days to the Administrative Department along with all relevant documents.
The inquiry was initiated to know whether the transfers were made by the Chief Education Officer Rajouri are covered under the transfer policy of the School Education Department.
Ch. Gulazar Hussain, CEO had said that under his order issued on October 16, 234 teachers were transferred and adjusted from hard zones to soft zone and vice-versa. All these transfers were made under the guidelines of the Annual Transfer Drive (ATD).
The Government had kept in abeyance his tentative transfer list that was uploaded on the social media network (whatsApp) for objections and transfer of 50 teachers out of 234 transferred.
As for as transfers were concerned (soft zones to hard zones & vice-versa) CEO’s office had received 951 applications for transfers out of which about 375 applications were considered and accordingly a tentative transfer list of the general line teachers (district cadre) had been framed and uploaded in social media (WhatsApp/emails of ZEOs for calling objections (if any) along with documentary proof by or before 7th of November.
Some affected teachers had approached the higher authorities against the CEO & his transfer order of October 16 and proposed/tentative transfer list & both were kept in abeyance and an inquiry was initiated.
