CBT of Sarpanches/ESM met LT. Governor Puducherry*

Rajouri Feb.25: A group of 20 Sarpanches/ESM hailing from district Rajouri today interacted with Hon’ble Lt.Governor of Puducherry at Raj Niwas. During Interaction Programme the Hon’ble Lt. Governor Advised the sarpanches that they should work with zeal and enthusiasm for the all-round development and progress of the village. She is hopeful that this exposure visit will be very helpful to them while delivering the services. She called them a citizen soldier as they are defending and developing their village towards prosperity and peace.

The capacity building tour comprising of 20 Sarpanches/ESM was organized by Indian army in collaboration with the district administration Rajouri and Gram Unnati trust. The tour was organized in order to foster a spirit of national integration, to Acquaint them with rural innovation techniques, rural governance and get them to see the modern villages and try to emanate once they get back to their respective panchayats.
The capacity building tour is being organized from February 13 to March 1 under Operation Sadbhavna.

District Development Commissioner Rajouri Mohammad Aijaz Asad said that such tour will play a long run role in capacity building of Sarpanches who have been elected recently in a long exercise of panchayat elections.

DDC further said that army is taking several other steps of social development and us also extending cooperation to civil administration in best possible manner for overall socio-economic development.
