RAJOURI MAY 22:-In wake of recent ceasefire violations along the Line of Control, the Mandi(Poonch)Mandir Battalion of the Border Security Force (BSF), under the aegis of SHQ BSF Rajouri, extended humanitarian assistance to residents of Loran Valley affected by cross-border shelling.
On Wednesday, the BSF organized a relief distribution drive, providing essential edible items to families in need. The initiative was led by Shri Gajendra Kumar, Second-in-Command, and saw participation from around 30 villagers, including former Sarpanch Md Khalid Hussain of the Loran Gram Panchayat.
The effort underscores the BSF’s commitment not only to safeguarding the nation’s frontiers but also to supporting local communities during crises. Residents expressed deep appreciation for the BSF’s gesture, describing it as a timely and compassionate response to their hardships.
Such outreach initiatives reinforce the BSF’s dual mission—ensuring national security while upholding the welfare of the border populace.
