RAJOURI SEPTEMBER 02:-The Sector Headquarters Border Security Force (BSF) Rajouri on Tuesday organized a free medical camp near Salani Bridge, Bus Stand Rajouri, to provide healthcare facilities to residents affected by recent floods. The camp, which began at 4:30 p.m., was aimed at offering medical consultation, distributing free medicines, and addressing rising concerns over water-borne diseases in flood-hit areas.
Senior BSF officials, including Sh. Chandra Mohan Singh Rawat, DIG, SHQ BSF Rajouri, Dr. T. Sai Krishna, CMO (OG), Dr. Manoj Verma, DC/Vet, and Sh. Tej Pratap Singh, AC, SHQ BSF Rajouri, along with a dedicated medical team, attended to the health needs of local citizens. Approximately 175 people—comprising 70 men, 65 women, and 40 children—benefitted from the initiative.
Doctors provided detailed medical consultations tailored to patients’ ailments, while essential medicines were distributed free of cost. Veterinary support for livestock was also extended, reflecting BSF’s holistic approach toward community welfare.
Local residents expressed deep appreciation for the effort, highlighting the significance of such camps for people living in remote and border areas with limited access to healthcare. They thanked the BSF for its timely intervention and hoped for similar initiatives in the future.
The program concluded smoothly with the active involvement of BSF officers and jawans, ensuring discipline and coordination throughout.
This initiative once again underscored BSF’s role not only as the guardian of the nation’s borders but also as a vital contributor to the health and well-being of citizens in times of need.
