Bovine Smuggling Bid Foiled In Udhampur, 02 Vehicles seized, 08 Bovine Animals rescued

UDHAMPUR MAY 06:–Udhampur Police have foiled a bovine smuggling bid under the jurisdiction of Police Station Udhampur, where in 08 bovines were rescued which were being transported to Kashmir valley in 02 different vehicles.

Police naka party of PS Udhampur at Jakhani naka, stopped 02 vehicles which were carrying bovine animals. The drivers of these vehicles failed to produce valid permission. On physical checking of the vehicles police team found the 08 bovines loaded the vehicles in a very cruel manner. The police team immediately seized both the vehicles and arrested both the drivers identified as Mashkoor Ahmed S/O Parveez Ahmed R/O Batote, and Shoaib Ali S/O Mohd. Billa R/O Majalta.

Case under relevant sections of law stands registered in Police Station Udhampur and further investigation of the case is in progress.

The arrest and recoveries were made by SHO PS Udhampur Insp. Chaman Gorkha under the supervision of DySP Hqrs. Sh. Sahil Mahajan.
