Rajouri February 26:– Jammu and Kashmir police in Rajouri have foiled a bovine smuggling bid in Sunderbani area of Rajouri district.
Police said that a vehicle JK11B 4762 driven by unknown driver was carrying eight bovines and was signalled to stop at Sunderbani naka but driver escalated the speed of vehicle and ran from the spot.
Soon after the incident, an alert was flashed and a team of police from Sunderbani police station headed by PSI Kunal Bhargav under the supervision of SHO Sanjeev Slathia succeeded in chasing the vehicle with driver managed to escape from the spot.
Vehicle carrying eight bovines was seized from the spot and a case in FIR 17/21 under sections 279, 188 IPC and 11 PC Act has been registered in Sunderbani police station.
