BMO demands FIR against Accused for manhandling health staff.

Block Medical Officer (BMO) has written to Chief Medical Officer (CMO) for lodging FIR against three brothers (all government employees) for manhandling and threatening health staff/doctor at PHC at Jamola under Kandi (Kotranka) Health Block in Rajouri district.
One of the accused has also posted a video of the incident on social media on April 15 wherein he can be seen arguing/abusing the staff /doctor.
Locals, including Panchyat members, came to the rescue of the health department staff and pacified the matter after hectic efforts.
After the incident Dr. Iqbal Malik, BMO, Kandi (Kotranka) health block, apprehending more trouble in the future reported the matter to Chief Medical Officer (copies to Deputy Commissioner & Chief Education Officer) and demanded action against the trio including lodging of an FIR.
The trouble creators alleged that the department has failed to appoint doctors (2 posts sanctioned from the regular side) for the last 10 years and a doctor appointed under NRH schema was also attached with another health center ( reportedly a Psychiatric patient).
They were demanding to post the doctors & their night stay in the health center.
Keeping in view the vacant posts, BMO has made alternative arrangements and a doctor from other institutions attending patients at Jamola PHC on a rotational basis.
On the other hand, BMO claimed that some relatives of the trio (trouble creators), identified as Mohd Aslam (ITBP), Mohd Akram & Mohd Mushtaq (both government teachers), running a medical shop in front of PHC and are forcing the doctors to recommend the patients to purchase medicines from their shop.
“Once they also attempted to encroach the hospital land, but the staff members foiled their attempt. In the past, they also locked the staff including doctor inside the hospital, demanding night stay for the doctor deployed on the internal arrangement” BMO’s letter read.
BMO alleged that Mohd Aslam also instigating the locals not to go for Covid-19 vaccination.
BMO also claimed that the Panchyat members, including Sarpanch in the written letter have also confirmed that the trio is the habitual trouble creator.
“The involvement of the trio in creating impediments/hindrances in government work and abusing /manhandling of the staff at Jamola PHC may kindly be taken up with the concerned authorities for restraining them henceforth and initiate stern disciplinary action against them” said BMO in a letter to CMO.
