RAJOURI SEPT.02:–For the welfare of patients, their attendants and security of health employees, Block Medical Officer (BMO) Nowshera, Dr Iqbal Malik in a significant initiative has constituted Grievance Cell and Hospital Security Committee for sub district hospital Nowshera in Rajouri district.
Keeping in view the security of the employees in sub district hospital Nowshera in the wake of the tragic incident at R. G. Kar Medical College in Kolkata & recent incident in which a drunken person damaged the casualty room at SDH, Dr Iqbal Malik has constituted a Hospital Security Committee.
As per BMOs order (No BMO/N/Adm/2024-25/1965-69 dt 2/9/24) the Hospital Security Committee will be responsible for implementing & overseeing appropriate security measures to ensure the safety of the patients, staff and visitors.
The committee will work under the chairmanship of BMO and Medical Officer (MO) ,Dr Anil Manyee; Sup Pharmacist, Vijay Kumar; CHO, Ramesh Kumar; JHI Kuldeep Kumar, & Pharmacist Rakesh Khajuria are the members of the committee.
In another person, patient, their attendants and staff friendly initiative, BMO, Dr Iqbal Malik has established a Grievance Cell at SDH Nowshera.
“To ensure a structured & effective approach to handling complaints & grievances from both staff & patients, a Grievance Cell has been constituted at SDH Nowshera. This cell will serve as a dedicated body for addressing & resolving issues promptly & fairly,” read BMO’s order.
The committee will act under the chairmanship of BMO and members include MO, Dr Chander Parkash; Sup Pharmacist, Vijay Kumar; Sr Lab Technician, Yogesh Choudhary; JSN, Abilasha Sharma, & FMPHW, Romit Kour.
The responsibilities of the committee include accepting of grievances from staff & patients in written/ through designated digital platform or dedicated grievance box; Grievance cell have to review within 24 hours of receipt;
resolution/response will be provided within 48 hours (unless further investigation required); the cell is expected to resolve grievances within 7 working days; if grievance not resolved at hospital level it will be sent to higher authorities following proper channels, & the grievance cell have to maintain confidentiality of all proceedings & ensure no staff member faces retaliation for raising concerns.
