SRINAGAR SEPTEMBER 16:-Bilkees Ara, widely known as the “Blood Woman of Jammu and Kashmir”, was today honored with an Appreciation Award by Block Medical Officer (BMO) Dr. Tuha Khan in a ceremony held at Pattan. The event was graced by esteemed Surgeon Specialist Dr. Imtiyaz Hussain, along with health officials and community members.
The award recognizes Ara’s dedicated efforts in raising awareness on blood donation and mobilizing community participation to strengthen blood banks in the region. Her initiatives have played a crucial role in saving lives and ensuring timely availability of blood for patients.
