RAJOURI SEPT 25:-Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University (BGSBU), Rajouri, in association with Government Medical College (GMC) Rajouri, organized a Medical Screening cum Check-up along with a Blood Donation Camp under the Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyan (Healthy Women, Empowered Family Campaign) at the University campus today.
The camp was inaugurated by Mr. Abhishek Sharma, IAS, Registrar, BGSBU, who lauded the initiative as a significant step towards promoting women’s health and community welfare. He emphasized that preventive healthcare, regular screening, and awareness are essential for building a healthier society. Highlighting the role of youth, he said, “Our students are the torchbearers of social change, and their active participation in voluntary blood donation reflects their sense of responsibility and compassion towards humanity. BGSBU is committed to organizing more such health-centric and socially beneficial programs in the future.”
The event witnessed an overwhelming response, with more than 200 participants, including students, faculty, and staff, actively taking part in the medical screening and blood donation drive. A team of specialist doctors and medical staff from GMC Rajouri provided health check-ups, consultations, and guidance, while NSS volunteers enthusiastically contributed to the blood donation camp.
The University fraternity expressed their appreciation for this health-oriented initiative, which aligns with BGSBU’s vision of community engagement, holistic development, and service to society.
