BGSBU defers all exams, offline classes.Boarders asked to vacate hostels.

— Keeping in view the alarming surge in COVID cases, Prof. Akbar Masood, Vice-Chancellor BGSBU on the recommendations of the Deans, Controller of Examination, HoDs, and other functionaries have deferred all the ongoing/schrduled from next week examinations of the university.
As per Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University notification issued on Saturday, the practical examinations for B.Tech (3rd, 5th & 7th semester) scheduled to start from January 28 postponed until further order.
The online examination of B.Tech 1st semester will be held as per schedule. Earlier planned offline classes of B.Tech (4th & 8th semester) scheduled to start from January 20, 2022 will now be held in ONLINE mode until further order.
The mode of B.Tech 2nd semester classes shall be notified later.
As for as all schools, except the School of Engineering &Technology (SoET) are concerned, all the ongoing examinations have been postponed with immediate effect until further order.
The teaching of all, even semester classes shall commence in ONLINE mode with immediate effect, the notification reads.
For all schools of studies, the notification reads that no research scholar shall be permitted to stay in the campus.
All teachers are directed to remain present in the campus & shall engage the ONLINE classes from the respected departments.
The boarders have been asked to vacate the hostels at the earliest because the dining hall facility shall be discontinued very shortly, the notification further reads.
