BDC Chairman Block Mendhar welcomes regularisation of 12000 PDD daily wagers in J&K ; Asks Govt to regularise all daily wagers who are working day in and day out in various departments

MENDHAR FEBRUARY 28:– BDC Chairman Block Mendhar Tahira Jabeen has appealed to the Government for regularisation of all daily wagers serving in various departments of Jammu and Kashmir while welcoming the decision of regularisation of 12000 PDD daily wagers.

In a statement to the press, Jabeen welcomed the decision of regularisation of 12000 PDD daily wagers and said that the decision has generated hope among those who served the Government for the last two decades.

We welcome the decision of the Government about the regularisation of the daily wagers.
However, they should also consider the pending demands of the daily wagers, ITI trained youth and CP workers including contractual workers and others engaged in different units of J&K Government Departments,” she said.

She added that the next of kin of the deceased daily wagers who have lost their lives while performing their duty should also be given jobs on a priority basis.

“These daily wagers are the backbone of the Government Departments and kept the Departments working even during the COVID19 lockdown,” she said.

She also stated that the daily wagers from different departments should also be taken into consideration with immediate effect to ease out their sufferings.

Their demand should be considered on humanitarian grounds and should be regularised accordingly.
