    RAJOURI, DEC 08: District Administration Rajouri has taken prompt action following the tragic death of four residents of Badal village in Kotranka Sub Division due to suspected food poisoning.

    Deputy Commissioner, Abhishek Sharma, expressed deep condolences to the affected family and assured them of comprehensive support. Demonstrating the administration’s commitment, immediate financial relief of Rs. 1 lakh was provided to the family from the Red Cross Fund.

    To address the incident, the administration promptly dispatched a health team to the village. The team collected samples of the food consumed by the victims and the local water supply, which have been sent for forensic analysis.The administration is closely monitoring the situation to ensure public safety and prevent further risks.

    Additional Deputy Commissioner Kotranka, Dil Mir, has been actively coordinating with the bereaved family, ensuring they receive all necessary support. The administration has also initiated plans to raise awareness about food and water safety in the region to prevent such tragedies in the future.

    RAJOURI DEC 08:-Members of various Hindu religious organizations came together under the banner of the Sanatan Dharma Sabha Rajouri to stage a strong protest against the ongoing atrocities targeting Hindus in Bangladesh. The protesters demanded that the central government sever all diplomatic relations with Bangladesh in response to the increasing violence. They highlighted the attacks on Hindu temples, the captivity of priests, and the killing of Hindus in Bangladesh, emphasizing that such acts of violence would no longer be tolerated.

    During the demonstration, which took place at the Salani Bridge, protestors raised slogans such as “Stop Hindu Genocide” and “Down with Bangladesh,” voicing their outrage and solidarity with the Hindu community in Bangladesh. The protestors also presented a memorandum to the ACR Rajouri, addressed to the central government, demanding immediate action.

    Key figures who spoke at the rally included Thakur Kamal Singh, Harish Bharti, Nishu Gupta, Karan Thakur, Anshuman Chopra, Gaurav Mahajan,Ex Mlc Vibodh Gupta, Himanshu Bargav, Rajinder Gupta, kapil saryal, Karan saryal, Radish sharma, Gourav and Raj Ratan Singh. They condemned the severe atrocities faced by Hindus in Bangladesh, including the destruction of temples, the forced captivity of priests, and the systematic killing of Hindus. They urged the Indian government to take stringent measures to ensure the safety of Hindus in Bangladesh, stressing that diplomatic ties with the country must be severed until the situation improves.

    The protestors warned that unless action is taken by the Indian government, the violence in Bangladesh will continue unabated. They also declared that their protests would escalate further if the atrocities persisted. Following the rally, the protestors burned an effigy of the Prime Minister of Bangladesh and marched to Panja Chowk, where they presented the memorandum to the ACR Rajouri. The protest concluded at the Salani Bridge, with protestors once again raising their slogans.

    The protest was marked by strong security measures put in place by local authorities, ensuring the safety and orderliness of the demonstration.

    POONCH DEC 08:-Tanveer Iqbal Qureshi, a resident of Village Chhattral, Tehsil Mendhar, District Poonch, has submitted a formal application to the Administrative Secretary of the Rural Development Department, Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory, urging the installation of internet facilities in the far-flung area of Pyt Narol near the Higher Secondary School, Chhattral.

    In his plea, Qureshi highlighted the severe digital divide in the region, nearly 90% of the population lives below the poverty line and lacks access to basic amenities, including reliable internet connectivity. The village, surrounded by 13 to 14 panchayats and home to an estimated 20,000–25,000 people, who are struggling modern education and digital resources to its residents.

    “The school-going children of this area possess immense potential to excel in various fields if they are provided with basic facilities such as internet access,” Qureshi wrote. He further requested the district administration to provide laptops along with internet facilities to help bridge the educational gap.

    The appeal underscores the pressing need for digital infrastructure in rural areas, where students and residents alike are at a disadvantage due to a lack of connectivity. Qureshi hopes the authorities will take swift action to address this issue and bring much-needed progress to the region.

    Local advocacy groups and residents have expressed their support for the initiative, urging the government to prioritize rural development and ensure equitable access to digital resources. The district administration’s response is still awaited.

    RAJOURI DEC 08:-Vikram Singh, General Secretary of Lok Jan Shakti Party (Ram Vilas), J&K, strongly condemned the recent controversial remarks made by Iltija Mufti, the daughter of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leader Mehbooba Mufti, where she labeled Hindutva as a “disease.”

    In a statement issued today, Vikram Singh expressed his deep concern over the inflammatory and divisive nature of Iltija Mufti’s remarks, stating, “Hindutva is not a disease but a core aspect of India’s rich cultural and spiritual heritage. Such remarks only serve to deepen the divide and foster hatred within our diverse society. It is regrettable that an individual of such stature would stoop so low to make such baseless and offensive statements.”

    Vikram Singh further emphasized that the ideology of Hindutva is rooted in the values of unity, diversity, and respect for all faiths, contributing to the strength and progress of India. “Instead of promoting divisive rhetoric, political leaders should focus on unity, development, and communal harmony for the well-being of every citizen,” he added.

    Vikram Singh strongly asserted that individuals who oppose Hindutva and insult India’s cultural and spiritual heritage have no place in the country. “Such people should be shown the door as they only bring division and unrest to our nation,” he stated.

    He also urged all political parties to work towards creating a positive, inclusive environment for the people of Jammu & Kashmir and the nation at large. He asked Iltija Mufti to apologize for her remarks, which have hurt the sentiments of millions of people.

    JAMMU DEC 08:-BJP Senior Leader and Patron-in-Chief Samadhaan Foundation, Pawan Sharma emphasized the need for equal respect for all languages today, stressing that no language should be imposed or opposed. Pawan Sharma expressed these views at the thought-provoking program “Contemplation on Indian Languages and Their Future Prospective Direction” hosted by ‘Shri Abhinav Gupt Study Center’ at DSRS department Jammu University.

    Pawan Sharma, presided over the event, which featured Naresh Raina, a renowned writer, translator, researcher, and thinker, as the keynote speaker, and drew enthusiastic participation from students and scholars of Sanskrit, Dogri, Hindi, Punjabi, and other departments.

    During the discussion, Amresh Chouhan, a Hindi postgraduate student, pointed out that despite being the national language, Hindi has been neglected for a long time. Although Hindi is a subject in primary school up to the matric level, the government has not created sufficient posts during the current recruitment drive.

    Komal Parihar, a senior Sanskrit scholar, noted that despite being the scientific language of the world, Sanskrit has not been introduced at the primary level, and desired posts have not been created to date. This language has been studied globally, even by renowned scientists.

    Sudershan Dogra, a postgraduate student of Dogri, also expressed similar sentiments, addressing the gathering and stating that Dogri, the language of the nationalist Dogras, has been neglected during the recent advertisement of the Jammu and Kashmir government.

    Amandeep Kaur, a Punjabi scholar, observed that Punjabi, an Indian language, is being studied by various scholars, but their future remains uncertain due to the lack of duly advertised posts.

    In his address Pawan Sharma highlighted the critical importance of promoting and preserving Indian and regional languages to safeguard India’s rich cultural heritage. Sharma underscored the urgent need for the government to create new academic and administrative posts for these languages, ensuring their survival and growth.

    Sharma emphasized that education in mother tongue, as advocated by the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, plays a pivotal role in nurturing the linguistic heritage and connecting future generations with India’s glorious past. Sharma further stated that all our languages possess a rich history and we should take pride in our linguistic diversity and cultural heritage

    Pawan Sharma also called on the government to eliminate discrimination against Indian and regional languages and prioritize their integration into mainstream education and policy frameworks. They stressed that such measures are essential for empowering linguistic diversity and fostering a sense of pride and identity among the youth.

    Advocate Naresh Kumar Raina, a writer, translater, researcher, and thinker, while addressing the scholars, as a keynote speaker, told that Article 343 of the Indian Constitution including eighth schedule and NEP, 2020 , gives people right to study in Indian languages from primary school to further higher studies but even then the government is not creating posts in these languages at par with other Indian languages described in the Constitution. Government needs further work out on the decision of recruitment of posts of lecturers in School Education Department. This type of contemplation must be carried on to flourish Sanskrit, Hindi, Dogri and Punjabi languages among general masses. This is the first contemplation ever organised in the University of Jammu.

    The program culminated in a collective pledge to preserve and promote Indian languages, ensuring their continued relevance in modern times while maintaining their cultural integrity. Ramnik Sharma, a PhD scholar in the Sanskrit department at Jammu University, moderated the entire programme.

    RAJOURI,DEC 08: The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) successfully conducted the OMR-based written examination for the post of Constable (Telecommunication) today across all designated centers in Rajouri district.

    The examination process was closely monitored by Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Abhishek Sharma, and Senior Superintendent of Police, Gaurav Savarkar, ensuring a fair and transparent process.

    A total of 12334 candidates had registered for the examination, which was conducted at 27 centers located in Rajouri and Nowshera towns. The centers were strategically selected to minimize inconvenience for the candidates and ensure smooth logistical arrangements.

    Deputy Commissioner Abhishek Sharma, along with SSP Gaurav Savarkar, conducted random inspections at several examination centers to oversee the arrangements. Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner commended the meticulous planning and expressed satisfaction with the robust measures implemented to facilitate the examination.

    A comprehensive traffic management plan was also executed to prevent congestion near the examination venues.

    To maintain the integrity of the examination, ADDC Rajouri, (General Observer), Dr. Raj Kumar Thapa, ACR, Mohammad Jahangir Khan and Flying Squad teams, conducted surprise checks at various centers. Inaugurated by the General Officer Commanding (GOC) White Knight Corps as part of Operation Sadbhavana, the facility is rapidly becoming a beacon of hope for young people seeking quality education.

    Developed over eight months, this state-of-the-art facility was designed to bridge the educational gap faced by youth in border villages, where access to learning resources is often limited. With a modern library, reading room, and an audio-visual room equipped with high-speed internet, the centre provides not only books but also the tools for an interactive learning experience. The availability of seamless video conferencing and online educational content is particularly beneficial in today’s digital learning environment.

    The Usman Community Learning Centre has quickly become a focal point in the district. Local residents have expressed their gratitude, noting that the centre has been a much-needed resource for the youth. Prior to its establishment, students had to travel to distant towns like Nowshera, Rajouri, or Jammu to pursue their studies, often facing delays in accessing books and materials. Now, the facility has solved these issues by providing both books and professional career counselling services, helping students navigate their professional futures.

    This centre also honours the memory of Brigadier Mohammad Usman, Mahavir Chakra, and the sacrifices of local residents during the 1947-48 war, as it is an upgrade of the Usman Memorial.

    Through such initiatives, the Indian Army continues its commitment to improving the quality of life in border areas, empowering the community with educational opportunities and career guidance.

The event honored the soldiers of the Indian Armed Forces for their unwavering dedication and supreme sacrifices made in the service of the nation. The occasion served as a significant reminder of the crucial role played by the Indian Armed Forces in safeguarding the country’s sovereignty and security.

    The celebration saw active participation from various local schools, including Govt High School Doongi, Govt Degree College Doongi, Tender Feet College, and Cypress Kids School, along with local residents and ex-servicemen. The event featured several activities aimed at fostering awareness and appreciation for the armed forces. Students and ex-servicemen came together for a Flag Awareness Rally, motivational lectures by veterans, an Ex-Servicemen Help Desk, an elocution competition, and a felicitation ceremony by the higher commander.

    RAJOURI DEC 08:-The ICAR-IGFRI Srinagar station in collaboration with RARS Rajouri organized a comprehensive training-cum-awareness programme on enhancing livestock nutrition with innovative fodder solutions.

    This event took place in the village of Makote of Rajouri district and was attended by tribal farmers of this area.

    The objective of the programme was to introduce and educate farmers about innovative fodder solutions to improve the nutritional intake of livestock, thereby promoting healthier and more productive animals.

    During the event, animal feed supplements, fodder seeds and rooted slip kits were distributed among the farmers.

    These resources are expected to help the farmers in adopting better fodder practices, ensuring the well-being and productivity of their livestock.

    Dr. Vikas Sharma, Professor and Head of RARS Rajouri, coordinated the programme and presented an insightful overview of the agricultural and livestock scenario in the Pir Panjal Region highlighting the challenges and opportunities faced by farmers in this area.

    Dr. Sheeraz Saleem Bhat, Incharge of ICAR-IGFRI Regional Research Station Srinagar, provided a briefing on the mandate of the station and the primary goals of the programme.
    He emphasized the importance of innovative fodder solutions in enhancing livestock nutrition and overall agricultural productivity.

    Dr. Suheel Ahmad, Senior Scientist at ICAR-IGFRI Regional Research Station Srinagar discussed various government-sponsored schemes that support agricultural and livestock development.

    He provided detailed information on programs such as the Holistic Agriculture Development Program (HADP), Animal Husbandry Infrastructure Development Fund, National Livestock Mission, and National Gowkul Mission.

    Dr. Ahmad aimed to equip the farmers with knowledge about these schemes, enabling them to take full advantage of the available resources and support.

    The participating farmers expressed their appreciation for the programme and emphasized the need for more such initiatives in the region.

    They highlighted the positive impact of the training on their knowledge and practices, and the potential for significant improvements in livestock health and productivity.

    The event was a resounding success, fostering a deeper understanding among the farmers of innovative fodder solutions and their crucial role in enhancing livestock nutrition.
