    SRINAGAR DEC 09:– In a significant display of political engagement and enthusiasm among the younger generation, several local youths officially joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Srinagar today. The event was graced by Saba Ali, BJP Media Incharge for Srinagar, who welcomed the new members into the party fold.

    During the joining ceremony, Saba Ali expressed her optimism about the involvement of youth in shaping the future of Jammu and Kashmir. She stated, “Today marks a pivotal moment for our party and for the youth of Srinagar. Their energy, ideas, and passion are vital for driving positive change in our community.     SRINAGAR DEC 09:- MLA and JKNC Women’s Wing President Advocate Shameema Firdous conducted a comprehensive visit to various localities in Habba Kadal constituency, accompanied by senior administrative officers. The visit focused on addressing public grievances and monitoring developmental projects.

    At Aga Hamam, she directed revenue officials to ensure fair rehabilitation for families displaced by road widening, including allocation of plots and adequate financial compensation.

    Advocate Firdous also met fire-affected families in DainWari, Mughal Mohalla, and Chattabal, where three houses were gutted, leaving eight families homeless. She instructed the revenue department to expedite their rehabilitation and provide immediate financial aid.

    Reaffirming her commitment to the party manifesto, she emphasized that the Omar Abdullah-led JKNC remains dedicated to the welfare of the people.

    RAJOURI DEC 08:-In a very disturbing incident 3 minor children, including two daughters and a son, and their father died due to suspected food poisoning in Badhal Gorla hamlet in Koteranka subdivision of Rajouri district.
    Another minor son Raftar (5 years) and his mother Shamim Akhter (32) are under treatment in different government hospitals in Jammu and their condition is said to be improving.
    The deceased have been identified as Fazal Hussain (a poor farmer by profession) son of Nazim Din; his minor children namely Rabia Kousar (14), Fana Kousar (9) and son Rukhsar (11).

    Fazal Hussain died in Associated Hospital Government Medical College (AH GMC) Rajouri on Saturday night and he was laid to rest in the evening on Sunday.
    Two daughters of Fazal Hussain died on their way to Jammu while Rukhsar died in a children’s hospital on Sunday in Jammu.
    The bodies of the three children reached village and laid to rest in the late night hours on Sunday, as per reports.

    Informed that on Monday (December 2) the family solemnised the marriage ceremony of their elder daughter Sultana Kousar.
    “According to initial information all the 6 members of the family on Friday took rice and curd for lunch. By evening Shamim Akhter developed some problem and was treated at a local medical shop,” said Shabir.
    He added, on Saturday Fazal Hussain, Shamim Akhter, and Rabia rushed to Community Health Center (CHC) at Koteranka after feeling uneasiness. All the three were referred to AH GMC at Rajouri as Fazal and Rabia started suffering from vomiting and other critical problems.
    Before the three could reach AH, GMC, the remaining three children, Fana, Rukhsar & Raftar, also started suffering from vomiting and were rushed to CHC Koteraka by relatives in a private vehicle.
    Doctors at CHC also referred the trio to AH GMC after initial treatment.
    At AH GMC, despite hectic efforts by the doctors, Fazal Hussain breathed his last in the late evening hours on Saturday.
    “In spite of possible treatment, the condition of the children started deteriorating and were referred to Jammu Hospital for specialised treatment, ” said Dr Shamim Choudhary, Medical Superintendent, AH GMC.
    “Food poisoning was suspected to be the cause behind the incident,” he added.
    “Initial reports suggest that the family has consumed leftover food from the marriage ceremony. Doctors treating them are also of the same view. Food samples have been lifted from the house for examination. Exact reason can be revealed after the laboratory report” said Deputy Commissioner, Abhishek Sharma.

    RAJOURI DEC 08:-Movement of vehicles has been suspended on Mughal Road amid fresh snowfall especially near Pir Ki Gali area.

    Officials said that rainfall started in some upper reaches of Poonch district with Pir Ki Gali (PKG) received snowfall that started on afternoon.

    Due to snowfall, officials said, road surface turned slippery forcing authorities to close the road for movement of vehicles.

    ” We have restricted movement of vehicles on Mughal Road amid slippery conditions.” said Deputy SP Surankote, Ajaz Choudhary
