    SRINAGAR DEC 10:-Samads Total Health Clinic, a state-of-the-art healthcare facility, was inaugurated today in Downtown Sopore near Hassan Motors. The grand opening ceremony was graced by renowned educationist Dr. Touseef Bhat, prominent social worker Syed Aijaz Kashani, and social worker Shoaib Mir, Mr, Jahangit Pandith who jointly inaugurated the clinic.

    JAMMU DEC 10:-Aam Aadmi Party Senior leader Safeer Choudhary has issued a strong warning regarding the ongoing delays in the Jammu and Kashmir Police Sub-Inspector (JKPSI) aspirants recruitment process.* Following his recent tweet highlighting the issues and now In his Press briefing issued strong message to J&K govt. And UT LG. JKPSI aspirants faced problems due to negligence of Govt. Choudhary has now set a 24-hour deadline for the Jammu and Kashmir government to address the matter.

    During his Press statement, Choudhary declared, “If the government does not resolve the issue of recruitment delays and age relaxation within the next 24 hours, we will be forced to go on a hunger strike to make our voices heard.” He further stressed the urgency of the situation, stating that countless aspirants are at risk of being disqualified due to the ongoing delays caused by corruption and repeated exam cancellations.

    Safeer Choudhary said, “This is not just a matter of recruitment; it is about the future of our youth. The government must take immediate action to ensure that these aspirants are not further punished due to systemic failures. If the authorities fail to act in the next 24 hours, we will have no choice but to intensify our protest to ensure justice.”

    Choudhary has called on Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha to intervene immediately and ensure that age relaxation is granted to those affected. His statement has generated significant support from JKPSI aspirants, who are determined to take further action if their demands are not met.

    **CMO Poonch received Skoch Award for exemplary performance in AB PMJAY SEHAT initiative.

    RAJOURI DEC 09:-Deputy Commissioner Poonch on Monday (December 9) during review meeting of the progress of RBSK & NTEP, presented the prestigious Skoch Award to Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Poonch, Dr Parvaiz Ahmed Khan which was presented to him at National Level (in New Delhi) for his exemplary performance in the AB PMJAY SEHAT initiative in district Poonch.
    Poonch is the only district in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir (UT J&K) to have received this esteemed award in the health sector under the overall guidance of Deputy Commissioner, Vikas Kundal.
    Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Vikas Kundal presided over a meeting to review the progress of the Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakaram (RBSK) and the National Tuberculosis Eradication Program (NTEP).
    The meeting was aimed to assess achievements and set targets for future initiatives.
    CMO, Dr Parvaiz Ahmed Khan presented a comprehensive overview of the RBSK’s accomplishments up to November, along with updates on the NTEP.
    “Take immediate action to achieve targets related to children’s health and direct the CMO to compile a detailed list of beneficiaries who have been screened and referred for further treatment”.
    During the review of NTEP data, he issued a directive to ensure the completion of data collection for TB-free panchayats, reinforcing the commitment to public health in the district.
    District Development Commissioner congratulated Dr. Parvaiz Ahmed Khan on receiving the prestigious Skoch Award in New Delhi, recognizing his exemplary performance in the AB PMJAY SEHAT initiative. Poonch is the only district in the UT of J&K to have received this esteemed award in the health sector under Deputy Commissioner.
    The award was presented to CMO, Dr Khan in the meeting attended by Medical Superintendent Raja Sukh Dev Singh, Block Medical Officers from Mendhar, Mandi, and Surankote, as well as teams from RBSK and NTEP, along with other key health officials.
    The meeting underscored the collaborative efforts of the health department and the importance of achieving health targets for the betterment of the community in Poonch.

    RAJOURI, DEC 09: Deputy Commissioner Abhishek Sharma today chaired a comprehensive meeting to review, subdivision-wise, the progress of various developmental schemes, including those under UT Capex, District Capex, NABARD, CRF, Languishing Projects and other departmental initiatives.

    In Kotranka subdivision, 40 works allotted under various schemes were reviewed, including critical roads funded by NABARD. The Deputy Commissioner directed the ADC to resolve bottlenecks hindering progress in the ongoing road projects.

    In Kalakote subdivision, of 18 schemes, 10 are ongoing, six have been completed and one is under litigation. The DC emphasised expediting the completion of pending works and resolving the legal case promptly.

    In Nowshera subdivision, 16 out of 29 schemes under NABARD have been completed. A dispute affecting one project was discussed and the ACR was directed to constitute a committee to resolve the issue. The status of the Mother and Child Hospital was also reviewed, with instructions to expedite the pending macadamisation of roads.

    In Rajouri subdivision, 46 schemes were reviewed. *The DC directed the ACR to conduct an inquiry into the Doongi to Challas road regarding potholes and blackspots. He also emphasised the urgent need for pothole filling on the road leading to GMC Kheora Hospital.*

    In Thanamandi subdivision, 24 works allotted under NABARD were reviewed, with four completed so far. The DC urged the faster execution of the remaining works to ensure timely public benefit.

    *The Deputy Commissioner issued several key directives, emphasising the resolution of road disputes and bottlenecks by the ADC and ACR to ensure smooth project execution. He called for expediting pothole repairs on critical roads, particularly those leading to public institutions and stressed the need to address quality issues while ensuring blackspot-free roads in identified areas. Additionally, he underlined the importance of strengthening interdepartmental coordination to overcome challenges in project implementation.*

    The meeting was attended by ACR Mohd Jahangir Khan, Executive Engineers, AEEs (PWD and Electrical) and other concerned officials.

    POONCH, DEC 09: To review the implementation and progress achieved under Swachh Bharat Mission (Grameen) and sustainable sanitation policy for Rural Areas in all Panchayats of the District, a meeting of concerned officers was held under the Chairmanship of the Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Vikas Kundal, here today at Meeting Hall of the DC Office Complex.

    At the outset, the Deputy Commissioner took a detailed review of various developmental components taken under Swachh Bharat Mission (Grameen) being implemented in all Blocks of the District including Door to Door Garbage Collection, construction of Solid/Liquid Waste Management, individual soakage and composite pits.

    The DC was informed that for the financial year 2024-25, the target for the construction of community composite pits is set at 331, all of which have been tendered out of which 149 works have been started. Additionally, there is a target of 149 community soak pits, all tendered, with ongoing work on 72 of them. The total target for Community Sanitary Complexes (CSCs) is 62, all of which have been tendered, and 22 works have been started.

    The Deputy Commissioner stressed upon the officers to launch an IEC campaign on a massive scale to sensitize the people regarding the importance of cleanliness to maintain hygienic environment/atmosphere in the Panchayats.

    The DC also asked the Assistant Commissioner Development to monitor the implementation of all works and ensure efficient and effective implementation Swachh Bharat Mission (Grameen) in all Panchayats of the District, besides holding periodical review meetings to ensure timely completion of all the works with judicious utilization of funds and quality of works to create the reliable assets for making all villages healthy and clean.

    The meeting was attended by ACD, ACP, BDOs and others concerned.

    POONCH DEC 09:- A soldier was killed in a landmine blast along the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir on Monday, officials reported.

    According to sources, the soldier, identified as Havaldar Subhash, was posted in the Saujiyan sector of Mandi. The incident occurred when he accidentally stepped on a landmine, which detonated, resulting in fatal injuries.

    Poonch Police have registered a case and an investigation is underway.

    RAJOURI DEC 09:-The highly anticipated Brig Usman SPPR Inter District/Tehsil Cricket Tournament got off to an exciting start today at the Naushera Cricket Ground. The opening ceremony was marked by the presence of several prominent dignitaries, with Brig Bir Bikram, Commander of the 80 Infantry Brigade, gracing the event as the chief guest. Brig Bir Bikram had the honor of unveiling the coveted tournament trophy, setting the stage for a thrilling competition ahead.

    Among the distinguished guests were Abhishek Sharma, the District Development Commissioner of Rajouri; Baljeet Singh, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Naushera; and Jaswant Singh, Deputy Superintendent of Police (SDPO), who all attended the event to show their support for the tournament.

    The opening match of the tournament featured a thrilling encounter between the teams of Akhnoor and Rajouri. Team Rajouri emerged victorious by 8 wickets, with Bilal Ahmed of Rajouri being named Man of the Match. Bilal’s exceptional performance included the most sixes of the match. Saifur Rehman of Rajouri was recognized as the Best Fielder, while Rahul Kumar of Akhnoor took the Best Catch.

    In the afternoon session, a thrilling contest took place between Naushera and Poonch. Team Poonch triumphed, defeating Naushera by 2 wickets in a closely contested match. Wasim Sajjad of Poonch was awarded Man of the Match for his outstanding contribution. Sunny Kumar of Naushera earned the Best Fielder title, while Sajjad Malik of Naushera claimed the honor of Best Catch.

    Both Man of the Match awardees were presented with a cash prize of Rs 5,000 as a token of appreciation for their exceptional performances.

    The tournament continues to showcase some thrilling cricket, with teams vying for the prestigious title in the memory of Brig Usman SPPR.
