Shahr-e- Khass Traders and Chambers deeply disappointed with the ongoing Power cuts

    GNS ONLINE NEWS PORTAL

SRINAGAR DEC 12:-The Shahr-e- Khass Traders and Chambers are once again deeply frustrated and disappointed with the ongoing power cuts in the Shah Re Khass area. Despite promises from the power department to provide round-the-clock electricity in the metered areas, residents and businesses continue to face frequent outages. This not only affects the daily operations of businesses but also puts the health and well-being of many individuals at risk, especially those who rely on electricity for medical equipment.

The lack of a reliable power supply not only hampers the productivity and profitability of small traders in the area but also creates a sense of uncertainty and instability in the community. Despite numerous complaints and pleas, it seems like our voices are falling on deaf ears as there has been no concrete action taken to address this issue.

With no clear avenue for lodging complaints or seeking assistance, the frustrated residents and business owners are now turning to the LG administration for help. It is imperative for the authorities to take this matter seriously and ensure that the residents of Shah Re Khass are provided with a consistent and uninterrupted supply of electricity. The livelihoods and well-being of the community are at stake, and prompt action is needed to rectify this situation.

In addition, it is worth noting that the traffic department in Srinagar has been actively conducting drives to manage and control traffic flow in the city. SKT&C commends the efforts of the SSP traffic and other officials who have been working tirelessly to ensure smoother traffic movement. However, there is a pressing need for a more targeted approach, particularly in areas where reckless driving and non-compliance with traffic laws are prevalent.

One such area of concern is Foreshore Road, where incidents of rash driving have been observed. It is imperative for the traffic department to focus on such areas to prevent accidents and ensure the safety of both drivers and pedestrians. By starting drive in Shah Re Khass, where traffic congestion is severely impacting businesses in the vicinity and such kind of drive is adding the difficulties for business.

SKT&C urges the traffic department to extend their crackdown on irresponsible driving practices to those specific areas in order to create a safer environment for all road users. Additionally, it is important for the media to highlight not only the traffic drives but also other important issues affecting the community, such as the ongoing power cuts in Shah Re Khass. By shedding light on these pressing concerns, we can work towards finding solutions that address the needs of the local residents and businesses.
