    RAJOURI, NOVEMBER 06:–Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Vikas Kundal today rushed to GMC&AH to inquire about the condition of injured who had endured a dreadful tempo accident at Kanchi Morh on Rajouri-Kotranka Road. The accidents victims were shifted to the hospital for specialized care. Deputy Commissioner Vikas kundal assured that appropriate compensation under rules shall also be given to the sufferers of the mishap.

    Tragedy struck as eighteen people were left injured, while the lives of three innocent souls were tragically cut short in a road accident that unfolded at the fateful Kainchi Morh, situated near Rehan. The heart-wrenching incident occurred when a tempo traveler, en route to Rajouri from Kotranka, lost control and veered off the road, tumbling down a steep gorge.

    The aftermath of the accident was nothing short of chaos, with a total of eighteen individuals bearing the brunt of the catastrophe, all left grappling with injuries of varying degrees. These brave survivors were rushed to the GMC Associated Hospital in Rajouri, where a dedicated medical team worked tirelessly to assess and address their conditions.

    Deputy Commissioner Vikas Kundal engaged with the injured, inquiring about their health and offering words of solace and encouragement. Furthermore, he directed the medical team to provide the injured with the most comprehensive and effective treatment, minimizing the risk of complications and ensuring a smoother path to recovery.

    In this trying hour, the Deputy Commissioner extended a heartfelt promise to the injured and their distraught families, assuring them that the District Administration would stand by their side, offering unwavering support and all the necessary assistance required during this difficult and trying time.

    RAJOURI NOVEMBER 06:- A tragic road accident took place today  in which at least 18 passengers were seriously injured in a tempo which was going from Kotranka  to Rajouri, a few kilometers away from Rajouri in Palma area. According to the details, there were about 18 and 19 passengers in the tempo and the driver lost control due to high speed and fell into a deep ditch of about 300 feet, resulting in the death of three passengers.

    While around 16 passengers, including minor children, will be seriously injured, mother and daughter are also among the injured ,Superintendent of GMC Rajouri told while three injured have been referred from GMC Rajouri to GMC Jammu for further treatment after initial medical treatment.

    In the same accident, an injured passenger while talking to the media representatives in GMC Rajouri said that another tempo driver got ahead of the tempo driver in Kenchi Mor area, so after that the driver accelerated the speed of the tempo vehicle. The passengers sitting in the tempo asked the driver to reduce the speed somewhere outside, but the driver drove the vehicle at a high speed, while in Palma area, the driver lost control of the tempo and a major road accident took place.

    Meanwhile police took the cognizance of this incident.Though overloading in passanger vehicles become a routine practice in Budhal kotranka from Rajouri roads but not the traffic department usually penalising drivers for violating the traffic guidelines is the issue of greater public concern . Cancellation of the registration of a passanger vehicles for committing the offence of overloading by Deputy Commissioner Rajouri is should take action stringent action taken against any over loading in his vehicle.

    Passenger vehicles for over loading in passenger buses tempo mini- buses canter automagic is an offence now as passenger buses can be seen moving with dozens of passengers sitting of the vehicle roof in Rajouri district .

    Though very rarely the drivers of passenger buses in Rajouri are seen committing the offence of overloading but in Rajouri district the fast growing menace of overloading is heading to any dead end.

    Interestingly the overloading in passenger buses tempo mini buses is the cause of majority of the road accidents on roads connecting Rajouri Poonch and Jammu province with rural areas.

    RAJOURI, NOVEMBER 05:–Directorate of Health Services (DHS) Jammu Division in a circular (No.DHSJ/Adm/11304-37 dt 4-11-2023) issued on Saturday directed all those attached employees, who were relieved earlier, to join in their original place of postings on or before November 6.
    As reported Chief Medical Officers of Jammu Division have informed the Directorate of Health Services (Jammu) that some employees, who were working on an attachment basis in various health institutions in their respective districts and were relieved by the concerned CMO/BMO/Head of the Institution, have not yet joined at their original place of postings.
    As a matter of some employees not joining at the original place of posting after their detachments were taken seriously by the higher authorities, these employees were directed to join their duties within 3 days.
    The circular issued by Director Health Services Jammu Division read: “It is impressed upon all the above said attached employees (now relieved) under the Administrative control of this Directorate to join at their original place of posting within three days positively from the date of issuing of this circular falling which disciplinary action under Article 128 of J&K Civil Services Regulation Vol-1shall be initiated against them”.
    It is pertinent to mention here that the Administrative Department vide letter No.HD-Gaz/Misc/2023 dt 30-10-2023 had canceled all the attachments of the employees.

    SRINAGAR  NOVEMBER 05:–Police in Baramulla arrested a man who posed as a CBI officer and found counterfeit ID cards and household items in his possession.

    Police Station Kunzer received a written complaint from Farooq Ahmad Wani of Wassun Bangil, detailing a sequence of events involving a group of individuals namely Javeed Ahmed Rather, Anjuman Afreen, Aaqib Ahmad Wani, and Rafeeq Ahmad Wani.

    The complainant stated that Javeed Ahmed Rather falsely presented himself as a CBI officer, wielding a counterfeit CBI ID card, and promised to secure a placement for their child at the NDA.

    As events unfolded, the accused individuals engaged in theft, stealing various household items, such as a geyser, bedsheet, inverter, CCTV camera, LCD, and other valuables from the complainant’s residence. Additionally, the complainant was allegedly defrauded of a substantial sum of 40 Lac rupees.

    A case under the relevant legal sections was registered at Police Station Kunzer, and an investigation was initiated.

    Prompt action by the police team from Police Station Kunzer resulted in the arrest of the man impersonating a CBI officer, along with the recovery of counterfeit documents, including the supposed CBI card and some stolen household items found in the accused’s house.

    RAJOURI, NOVEMBER 03:–After frequent reports about the government employees participating in demonstrations and strikes in favour of their demands, the Government of UT of J&K on Friday invoked Rule 20(ii) of the Jammu and Kashmir Government Employees (Conduct) Rules, 1971 and restricted employees from taking part in strikes/demonstrations.
    The Government also warned of strict action, if any employee(s) is found involved in such demonstrations/strikes.
    Rule 20 (ii) of the J&K Govt Employees (Conduct) Rules-1971 reads: “No Government employee shall resort to or in any way abet any form of strike in connection with any matter pertaining to his service or the service of any other Government employee”.
    According to Government order (O.M. No.GAD-ADMOIII/158/2023-09-GAD dt 3/11/2023) issued on Friday, it has come to the fore that some employees are resorting to demonstrations and strikes in favour of certain demands.
    The order further read: The aforesaid provision of law-Rule 20 (ii)-is not merely declaratory in nature and shall definitely entail consequences in the event of any such employee found immersive in such acts”.
    “Therefore, all Administrative Secretaries are requested to circulate these instructions to employees in their respective Department(s) to desist from all such uncalled for demonstrations/strikes: an act of serious indiscipline and misconduct.” the order further reads.
    The Government further directed the departments to take strict disciplinary action against any such employee(s) found involved in organising demonstration(s) and strike(s), in terms of the rule mentioned supra (mentioned above).
