    RAJOURI, NOVEMBER 10: –Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Vikas Kundal on Friday convened a comprehensive meeting to review and strategise the arrangements for the impending “Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra.”

    In a detailed discussion, the Deputy Commissioner Vikas Kundal expounded upon the expansive scope of the Yatra, which primarily aims at ensuring the effective execution of the Central government welfare schemes in rural India. The Yatra will commence from Budhal Old on 15th November 2023 in the district.

    The fundamental objectives of the Viksit Bharat Yatra were elucidated, encompassing critical aspects such as reaching out to the vulnerable sections eligible under various schemes but yet to benefit, disseminating information, and fostering awareness about the schemes. The initiative further seeks to establish direct interaction with beneficiaries, sharing personal stories and experiences, while also enrolling potential beneficiaries based on information ascertained during the Yatra.

    The meeting delved into an extensive discussion on various schemes targeting both rural and urban awareness. Heads of Departments provided in-depth updates on the current status of scheme saturation and outlined strategies to achieve optimal coverage during the Yatra.

    Specific focus was placed on key schemes, including the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY), Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojna, Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojna, Pradhan Mantri Kissan Saman Nidhi, Kisan Credit Card (KCC), Swachh Bharat Abhiyan (Urban), Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma, Jal Jeevan Mission, Pradhan Mantri POSHAN Abhiyaan, among others.

    The meeting also highlighted the deployment of a Mobile Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) Van, designed to traverse all panchayats and urban areas. The primary objective of the van is to achieve saturation of all schemes and enhance awareness among the populace.

    Emphasizing the imperative need for collaborative efforts, the Deputy Commissioner Vikas Kundal directed all stakeholders to work in synergy, aiming for the seamless implementation of the ambitious initiative.

    Deputy Commissioner Vikas Kundal issued a directive, underscoring the paramount importance of ensuring the seamless and efficient conduct of the Yatra within the district, emphasizing the critical role each stakeholder plays in the successful execution of this transformative initiative.

    RAJOURI, NOVEMBER 10:–Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal, today reviewed the arrangements for the celebration of festival of lights-Diwali here at a meeting of officers and representatives of different organisations.

    With unwavering focus, the meeting delved into essential facets such as seamless water and power supply, healthcare provisions, parking logistics, and efficient transport services.

    Addressing the meeting, Deputy Commissioner, Vikas Kundal fervently emphasized the imperative duty of officers and officials to furnish the populace with indispensable amenities, encompassing potable water, sanitation, medical care, efficient transportation, uninterrupted power and water provisioning, and all other requisite essentials.

    The vigilant law enforcement agencies received firm directives to deploy ample police personnel on this holy occasion, safeguarding the security of the public. Traffic authorities, likewise, were tasked with crafting a meticulous traffic management and parking strategy to ensure the smooth flow of vehicles on the designated day.

    Furthermore, Deputy Commissioner Vikas Kundal enjoined the concerned authorities from the Power Development Department and Jal Shakti Department to guarantee uninterrupted power and water supply for the community during the festive period.

    The concerned officer from the fire and emergency department received explicit instructions to maintain a state of readiness for fire tenders, both day and night. The Executive Officer MC Rajouri was mandated to ensure the cleanliness of the town throughout the festivities. Additionally, the Health Department was tasked with ensuring the availability of comprehensive medical facilities to address any potential emergencies.

    Deputy Commissioner Vikas Kundal impressively underscored the urgency of completing all essential festival-related preparations well in advance to ensure that the public encounters no inconvenience during these auspicious occasions.

    RAJOURI NOVEMBER 10 :–Jammu and Kashmir police in Rajouri district has booked and arrested driver of a minibus (passenger vehicle) for overloading and endangering lives of people.

    A team of Manjakote police station headed by SHO Manjakote Abrar Khan was on routine patrolling on highway stretch in the jurisdiction of Manjakote police station when a passenger vehicle JK12C 8960, minibus, was intercepted and found overloaded with passengers.

    During checking, the vehicle was found loaded with total forty five passengers with twenty were over the approved capacity,eight passengers were sitting in driver cabin while a few were hanging in exit door.

    The overloading of passengers in such a manner was thereby endangering the lives of people.

    Taking a strong note of it, driver and owner of vehicle namely Mohd Yaseen resident of Manjakote Kakora has been booked in case FIR No. 104/2023 U/S 279/336 IPC for his rash, negligent and dangerous act, which endangered the safety of passengers.

    He was arrested from the spot and Rajouri Police appeals everyone to adhere to the traffic rules and regulations and not to indulge in acts that can endanger lives else stern action will be initiated.

    RAJOURI NOVEMBER 10:–A notorious absconder wanted in a case has been arrested by police in Rajouri.

    Accused  identified as Imran Ali @Lucky son of Sadat Ali resident of Ward 10, Rajouri town.

    He was wanted and absconding in case FIR 684/2019 U/Ss 224/353 RPC.

    A team of police from Rajouri police station carried out a successful operation and nabbed this notorious absconder who shall be be produced in the Court of Law.

    RAJOURI,NOVEMBER  09:–In coordination with the State Health Authority (SHA), one day workshop on Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) was organised at Associated Hospital GMC Rajouri on Thursday under the patronage of Prof. (Dr.) A.S Bhatia, Principal GMC Rajouri and under the supervision of Dr. Mehmood Hussain Bajar, Medical Superintendent (MS) Associated Hospital GMC (AH GMC) Rajouri.

    The State Health Authority (SHA) team is headed by the State Health Authority (SHA) headed by Dr. Majid Bhat, State Consultant ABDM, and other team members Mr. Younis Abdullah State Consultant ABDM, Ms. Duha Majeed Consultant ABDM, and Nasir Ahmad Consultant ABDM. Dr. Majid Bhat, State Consultant ABDM and other team members include Younis Abdullah, State Consultant ABDM; Duha Majeed and Nasir Ahmed, both Consultant ABDM.
    The workshop started with a welcome address by Dr. Mehmood Hussain Bajar that was followed by a context-setting by a team of consultants from the State Health Authority (SHA).
    The team briefed the participants about different building blocks of ABDM namely, ABHA number (Health ID), ABHA app (Personal Health Records app), Healthcare Professionals Registry (HPR), Health Facility Registry (HFR), ABDM Sandbox, and Unified Health Interface (UHI).
    The objective of the workshop was to highlight the role of ABDM and the importance of digital health records for patients.
    The participants were also briefed about the Scan and Share scheme and Ayushmaan Bharat Health Account (ABHA) launched recently under the ABDM.
    The workshop shall in turn help take the benefits of the digital health ecosystem to the remotest areas of the district and make quality healthcare accessible for all.
    The workshop was attended by health staff from AH GMC Rajouri and various health facilities from Poonch district.

    RAJOURI NOVEMBER  09:–Inhabitants of Panchayat Rajnagar Upper of Budhal Block New expressed resentment as officials from important departments skipped the 1st round of transformative Back to Village Pahse-5 (B2V5) that commenced in 104 Panchayats across Rajouri district on Thursday.
    According to reports, people alleged that Panchayat Rajnagar Upper has been neglected by various departments as far as developmental works are concerned and the officers/officials who skipped B2V5 event were to face the wrath of the people.
    Dr. Iqbal Malik, BMO Nowshera, who was the Visiting Officer for Panchayat Rajnagar Upper of Budhal Block New, also confirmed that officers/officials from most of the important departments skipped the B2V5 and the problems/grievances of the people related to these departments couldn’t be redressed.
    “Due to the absence of officers/officials from these departments, many issues related to developmental activities and individual-oriented social schemes are pending,” said Visiting Officer.
    The Visting Officers shall stay in their respective Panchayats tonight and continue their scheduled activities tomorrow.
    Visiting Officer, Dr. Iqbal Malik has appealed to the concerned authorities (District Heads of Departments) to issue instructions to the concerned officers/officials to be present at the venue of B2V5 Program tomorrow at Panchayat Rajnagar Upper (Budhal New Block) for the smooth conduct of B2V5 and for the redressal of people’s problems/grievances.
    The important departments whose officers/officials skipped the first round of B2V5-Phase include PWD(R&B), Health, Education, Forest, Social Welfare, Irrigation & Flood Control, Animal /Sheep Husbandry, Youth Sport Services, Agriculture, Sericulture, Horticulture, Floriculture, Fisheries, Bank, etc.

    JAMMU, NOVEMBER  09:–Two constables of the Jammu and Kashmir Police were suspended for dereliction of duty here on Thursday, an official said.

    A designated team of officials of police was on routine night checking duty when a police vehicle was found abandoned while the staff deployed for night duty were found in dereliction of duty, the official said.

    Following this, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Jammu Dr Vinod Kumar ordered suspension of two police personnel of Police Post Chinore, he said.

    The suspended police personnel are Selection Grade Constable Jagdish Raj and Constable Wasim Akram. The two have been suspended with immediate effect, the official said.

    SSP Kumar said dereliction of duty will not be tolerated and police personnel found slacking on duty will be dealt strictly as per norms.

The chairman of Greenland foundation Mr Suhail Jan said we invited the parents of students also to enumerate the benefits of donating blood and requested them to be a part of this blood donation camp.

    Valley’s known Environmental activist Mr Amjid Rezvi said the staff members of school displayed true humanitarian spirit, a hallmark of humanity and participating in the camp enthusiastically. Even the residents of localities in the vicinity joined the camp making our total tally of participants to 90. Renowned Social activist Syed Aijaz Kashani while participating in the camp said it’s a great initiative ,Blood donation camps can save lives.

    It’s wonderful to see organizations like the Greenland Foundation collaborating with groups like the Kashmir Blood Donors to make a positive impact on the community.A regular blood Donar,and blood man of Kashmir Mr Shabir Hussain who has donated 185 blood points till date said the donors found it very happy to contribute in saving someone’s life .

    RAJOURI, NOVEMBER 09: –The transformative Back to Village Phase-V initiative commenced with verve across Rajouri district, where a multitude of activities are underway as part of this momentous public outreach program.

    Under the overall supervision of the Deputy Commissioner, Vikas Kundal, the first day of this ambitious program commenced amid spirited public participation across 104 panchayats of six blocks of the district including Budhal New, Budhal Old, Manjakote, Moughla, Rajouri and Thanamandi. What makes this day truly special is the overwhelming participation of the villagers, who are exuding enthusiasm and applauding the proactive efforts of the Government.

    Following the successful implementations of B2V1, B2V2, B2V3, and B2V4, the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir has embarked on its fifth edition of Back to Village. This exceptional endeavor aims to bring governance to the very doorsteps of rural communities while fostering active community engagement.

    The dedicated officers Prabharis across various panchayats, have convened crucial meetings with key stakeholders, department officials, and members of Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs). These discussions have revolved around addressing the core challenges and issues faced by these panchayats.

    A diverse range of activities has been initiated, including the collection of comprehensive lists that encompass new projects commencing, ongoing projects and successfully completed projects funded through PRI grants, district plan, UT plan, MGNREGA (Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act) initiatives, as well as schemes from different government departments. Lists of beneficiaries of awas plus, pension schemes, Self-Help Groups (SHGs), and agriculture-related programs are also being collected meticulously.

    During the event, the designated officers have also lent a compassionate ear to the grievances expressed during these sessions, documenting each concern, and assuring the local community that their legitimate demands and issues will be addressed in a phased and systematic manner.

    The people of Rajouri district have expressed their admiration for the steadfast efforts of the Government to connect with them on their own turf and attentively listen to their concerns. It is a true reflection of participatory governance and community-led development, showcasing the potential for positive change at the grassroot level.

    RAJOURI, NOVEMBER 09:-‘In a proactive display of commitment to transparent governance and the effective implementation of developmental initiatives, Deputy Commissioner Vikas Kundal conducted a comprehensive review of the progress made by the Rural Development Department in Rajouri District. With a keen focus on the district Capex Budget, he noted that out of the 4,146 works, a commendable 871 have been successfully completed.

    Turning his attention to housing initiatives, the Deputy Commissioner scrutinized the physical and financial status of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – Gramin (PMAY-G) and AWAS Plus. Impressively, out of the targeted 65,594 houses, 33,053 have been completed.

    During the discussion, the need for geo-tagging of all finalized houses was emphasized, and clear directives were issued to expedite the remaining projects to meet set targets efficiently.

    Delving into the accomplishments under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA), the DC highlighted the generation of an impressive 1,056,495 person-days, achieving 84 percent of the set target.

    Stressing the urgency of Aadhar seeding, the Deputy Commissioner called for achieving 100 percent Aadhar seeding under MGNREGA promptly. A meticulous review of the progress showcased a strong commitment to creating sustainable livelihood opportunities.

    Within the ambit of the Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM), the DC was apprised of the ongoing door-to-door waste collection in the district. A detailed evaluation of the physical and financial advancements in Soakage pits, compost pits, Segregation sheds, and Community sanitary complexes underscored the dedication of the administration to sanitation and environmental sustainability.

    In the ambitious pursuit of holistic development through the Aspirational Block Development Program (ABDP), significant strides have been made with initiation underway on 15 out of the 22 planned works. Simultaneously, under the Aspirational Panchayat Development Program (APDP), which shares a parallel commitment to transformative change, commendable progress is evident as 22 out of the 42 designated works have been successfully launched.

    The Deputy Commissioner Rajouri directed the officers to work with heightened enthusiasm and a mission-oriented mindset. The call for diligence and a mission-oriented approach underscores the importance of meeting public expectations. The emphasis on completion, coupled with the call for geo-tagging, demonstrates the commitment of the administration to accountability and quality in developmental endeavors.
