    RAJOURI, DECEMBER 06-– Demonstrating a proactive and community-centered approach to address public concerns, the Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal, today chaired a highly impactful public outreach camp at Pind Narian of Doongi block.

    This event facilitated a constructive dialogue where both the public and their representatives discussed a wide range of issues, including the pressing need for road repairs, the upgradation and adequate staffing of government institutions, addressing water scarcity, and bolstering healthcare infrastructure, among other crucial topics. Specific issues which were highlighted during the event were demand of a bridge from Zinda Pir to Koterajagir, ambulance facility for PHC Nadayala, construction of road from Narian to Phali etc.

    Government officers utilized this opportunity to inform the public about various schemes and programs aimed at improving the community’s well-being, encouraging active participation and the utilization of available benefits.

    The Deputy Commissioner reaffirmed the commitment of the district administration to delivering quality essential services directly to the people. He expressed gratitude for the collaborative efforts of all stakeholders in achieving government objectives and encouraged them to continue their hard work for the common good.

He emphasised that the administration is relentlessly working towards making every possible effort to achieve this vital objective.

    He emphasized that a multitude of vital projects are actively underway in the border block of Doongi showcasing the unwavering dedication of the administration to the development and progress of this strategic region.

    The Deputy Commissioner also actively sought feedback regarding the implementation of various government schemes in the area, displaying a strong commitment to ensuring the efficient execution of these programs for the benefit of the community.     The VBSY has been met with tremendous enthusiasm and active participation from the local communities and Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs) in the district.     RAJOURI DECEMBER 06::–Security Forces on Wednesday recovered arms, ammunition, incriminating material and other material during an operation in Behrote area of Budhal in Rajouri with two terror associates have been arrested for their terror links.

    Mentionable that an encounter took place on Nov 17 at Behrote Gali area of Budhal police station jurisdiction in Rajouri district in which one terrorist was eliminated by forces and an instant case was registered on this with investigation was set into motion.

    During investigation some vital leads were developed and two locals were detained for questioning.

    During their questioning, their terror links got established and it came to fore that they are actively working for terrorists after which they have been arrested.

    The two person have been identified as Mohd Nazir (58) son of Mohd Din resident of Behrote Budhal and Farooq Ahmed (42) son of Mohd Lateef resident of Guller Budhal.

    On their disclosure, J&K Police of District Rajouri, 33 RR & 237 Bn CRPF launched an operation and made recovery of arms, ammunition and incriminating material from Behrote Nallah in Budhal.

    The recovery include 01 pistol, 02 pistol magazines, 28 pistol bullets, 02 grenades, 01 bag, 01 uniform camouflage, 01 plastic belt, 01 polysheet (Tarpal), 01 knee cap, 07 bandages, 01 hot strip (Garam patti), 01 syringe, 01 underwear, 01 electric tester, 01 Cipladine ointment.

    Further investigation into the matter is going on.

    RAJOURI/JAMMU DECEMBER 05:–To commemorate the Silver Jubilee of Kargil Vijay Diwas & the Centenary of the Bombay Sappers War Memorial in honour of our brave soldiers who laid down their lives in service of the Nation, the Indian Army Adventure Wing has launched a microlight flying expedition named NATEX K2K 2023-24, from Kashmir to Kanyakumari.
    The Indian Army Microlight flying Expedition ‘NATEX K2K 2023-24’ commenced their challenging expedition journey from Army Adventure Nodal Centre (Microlight & PHG), Military College of Telecommunication Engineering (MCTE), Mhow (MP), their home base on 20 November.
    The expedition Team reached Udhampur (Jammu & Kashmir) on December 1, where a ‘Flag Off’ by Army Commander was conducted as part of a ‘Curtain raiser Event’.
    The expedition flagged off from the Army Adventure Nodal Centre, Mhow (Madhya Pradesh), will fly through 37 stations in 37 days. During the expedition, the soldiers will cover 9,500 kilometres.
    The aim of the expedition is to spread the spirit of adventure, camaraderie, courage, and teamwork.
    The expedition will witness the participation of eleven officials, including three women officers, four JCOs and 35 soldiers.
    The participants will conduct a grand air show at six different locations en route including Jammu, Udhampur, Goa, Kochi, Pune, and Ramnathpuram.
    The motto of the expedition is “पर्वतसेसागरतिरंगा”. The team is proudly hoisting the national flag along with the Indian Army Flag and other banners, high above in the skies from Kashmir to Kanyakumari, spreading the spirit of adventure, courage, camaraderie, and teamwork.
    They commenced the phase 2 and came to Jammu where they conducted an action-packed Aero Show for young and large audience including school children at the Air Force Station Jammu, which is also celebrating its Diamond Jubilee.
    The pilots of the Army Adventure Expedition , Col Mankanwal Jeet Chawla, Lt Col Aby TM, Lt Col Jitender Siwach and Hav A Saravanan with their young Co-pilots carried out precision manoeuvres including formation flying and display of flags & banners and some adrenaline rushing low flying to the amazement of the crowd.
    They will now continue their expedition as per plan to go to the southernmost waypoint at Kanyakumari before overflying the fabled Ram Setu and continue along the western coast to reach Pune and complete the expedition at BEG & Centre.
    While at Pune the expedition will also add to the Platinum Jubilee celebrations of the National Defence Academy, Khadakwasla.

    VBY is designed to bring the benefits of these schemes to all targeted beneficiaries at their doorsteps in a time-bound manner.
    The people from different panchayats including Tunditrar, Pallulian, Thandikassi, Pangrain Lower- A, Pangrain Lower-B, Pangrain Upper-A, Pangrain Upper-B of block Pangrain and Narian Parli, Sangpur, Sangpur Narian West, Dogani, Chingus, Loorkote, Agrati South, Agrati North and Dhanwan of Doongi block participated with tremendous enthusiasm in the event.
    In a groundbreaking initiative aimed at saturating the benefits of Central government schemes across the nation, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY) on November 15 from Khunti, Jharkhand.
    The yatra, designed to inform and empower citizens about the government’s flagship schemes, aims to create awareness, and deliver the benefits of welfare programs directly to the people.
    The Prime Minister also flagged off specially designed IEC Vans carrying messages of government schemes.

    RAJOURI, DECEMBER 04:-In the aftermath of fierce fighting between Army & terrorists near Bajimaal in Kalakot subdivision of Rajouri district on November 22 & 23 and on the DGP’s directive of tough stand against terrorists & their facilitators, and narcotics smuggling, Security Forces have launched several operations in Rajouri & Poonch districts.
    In Bajimaal encounter five soldiers, including two Captains, attained martyrdom while Army killed two hard core Pakistani terrorists affiliated with the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) outfit, including most wanted Qari.
    DGP, RR Swain on December 3 while talking to reporters at Samba said that anyone coming to pick up the drone-dropped items, including weapons, drugs, and money, is the nation’s enemy and will be booked for treason & terrorism.
    Meanwhile, three persons have been detained for questioning from Gabbar and Rajnagar villages of Budhal Block New reportedly for facilitating ANEs.
    The reports of search operations, jointly by Police, Army, & CRPF, have been received from Kalakot, Sunderbani, Budhal, Thanamandi, Manjakot (In Rajouri) and in many villages, including Ari, Gursai, Jaranwali Gali, Mendhar etc, in Poonch district.
    Sources said the troops have launched search operations to flush out the hiding terrorists who may have fled and taken shelter in dense forests/caves in the higher reaches after mounting pressure by SFs.
    At present search operations are in progress in more than 20 areas in both the districts to
    ensure these areas are secured and may be extended to other areas.
    It is pertinent to mention here that during one such search operation in Topa-Hill Tak area of Darhal tehsil (In Rajouri) in Darhal tehsil, Security Forces averted a major tragedy after they recovered a five Kgm IED and destroyed it on the spot.

    RAJOURI, DECEMBER 4 :–Block Medical Officer (BMO) Nowshera in Rajouri district has issued show cause notice to the owner of hospital canteen for luring the attendants of the patients to purchase medicines from his own medical chemist shop situated behind the sub district hospital in Nowshera town.
    According to Show Cause Notice (No.BMO/NSR/2023-24/3155-58 dt 4/11/2023) one Vijay Kumar s/o Girdhari Lal , who is also owner of M/S Choudhary Medical Hall Nowshera), is also running the hospital canteen for the last many years and also providing food diet to patients, managing the parking & selling others items also.
    It has been observed that most of the time Vijay can be seen snatching OPD slips/ medical prescriptions from the patients/ attendants of the patients and lure them to purchase medicines from his shop.
    In this connection, the prominent citizens, and Chemist Association Nowshera has raised objections several times against Vijay before successive BMOs and higher authorities.
    But the authorities concerned failed to take any action for the reasons best known to them.
    Recently prominent citizens/ Chemist Association lodged a complaint against Vijay with JK Grievances Cell.
    “A complaint has been received through JK Grievance ID No.999003989737 dt 31/5/23 that you (Vijay Kumar) have snatched OPD slips/medical prescriptions from patients visiting the hospital & luring them to your chemist shop (M/S Choudhary Medical Hall) and bad impact (i.e. less sale of generic medicines) of PM Janaushadi Pharmacy established in the hospital for the benefit of poor & needy patients & they have also demanded appropriate action” read BMO’s show cause notice.
    The notice further read that the complainants have also demanded detailed inquiry into the tendering & allotment of hospital canteen, parking, food diet and selling of other items in your favour.
    “It has also been observed that you do not comply with the conditions as per contract and don’t deposit the rent in time. You are directed to furnish a reply in the light of the said complaint within a week time. Failing which the same shall be communicated to higher auth for appropriate action under rule” Show cause notice read.
