    RAJOURI, DECEMBER 12:– Commissioner Secretary, Industries and Commerce, Vikramjit Singh, along with Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal, today attended a mega event organised as part of ongoing “Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra” here at Siot block of Rajouri district.

    Under the initiative, mobile vans laden with Information, Education and Communication (IEC) material, creates public awareness about a myriad of central government schemes. With a sound system and digital LED screen on board, the van showcased videos of Prime Minister’s addresses, testimonials from beneficiaries and informative clips.

    The Yatra focuses on both urban and rural areas, spotlighting key schemes such as PM Svanidhi, PM Vishwakarma Yojana, PM Mudra Yojana, PM Ujjwala Yojana, Start up India/stand up India, Ayushman Bharat, PM Awas Yojana (Urban), SBM (Urban), PM eBus Sewa, AMRUT, PM Bhartiya Jan Aushidi Pariyojana, Ujjala Yojana, Subhagya Yojana, Digital Payment infrastructure, Khelo India, RCS:UDAN, Vande Bharat Trains and Amrit Bharat Station scheme and schemes like Ayushman Bharat PMJAY, PMGKAY, DAY-NRLM, PM Awas Yojana Rural, PM Ujjwala Yojana, PM KISAN Saman, PM Vishwakarma, KCC, PM Poshan Abhiyan, JJM and SVAMITVA.

    Commissioner Secretary inspected stalls set up by different departments at the event. These stalls showcased the schemes of the departments providing a visual representation of the initiatives aimed at promoting economic growth. He encouraged the public to avail full advantage of government schemes tailored for their socio-economic empowerment.

    While addressing the event, Commissioner Secretary expressed the significance of the Yatra saying that the primary objective of this historic initiative included disseminating information, fostering awareness, and establishing direct interaction with the beneficiaries.

    Commissioner Secretary highlighted the role of the mobile van in achieving saturation of all schemes and enhancing awareness among the populace. This proactive approach signifies dedication of the administration towards ensuring comprehensive awareness, leaving no eligible individual uninformed about transformative government schemes.

    Commissioner Secretary elaborated on the transformative impact of the Yatra, emphasizing its pivotal role in effective implementation of diverse welfare initiatives across the nation. He underscored the instrumental role of the yatra in fostering development and promoting engagement with government schemes.

    Vikramjit Singh articulated a strong commitment to inclusivity, affirming that the government is diligently working to ensure that the benefits of various schemes extend to the last beneficiaries in the queue. He fervently motivated the public, urging them to actively avail themselves of the numerous benefits offered through government schemes.

    “The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra stands as a testament to the commitment of the Government to inclusive development, ensuring that the benefits of its schemes reach every individual, contributing to the overall socio-economic landscape of the district”, he maintained.

    RAJOURI DECEMBER 12:–Police in Nowshera area of Rajouri nabbed an absconder who was wanted in motor-vehicle accident case but was evading his arrest.

    Absconder has been identified as Shah Nawaz ; S/O Jamat Ali Shah; R/O Samote, Kotranka of District Rajouri.

    A team of police led by SHO Nowshera, Inspector Sumit Magotra zeroed in the arrested accused absconder at Naushera on the basis of a human intelligence.

    The accused was evading his arrest since long in case FIR No.112/2019 U/S 279,338 IPC of PS Naushera and a general warrant U/s 299 Cr.PC was issued against him by the Hon’ble Court of Sub-Judge Naushera.

    After apprehention, the apprehended accused has been produced before Sub-Jugde Nowshera.

    RAJOURI DECEMBER 11:–While hailing the Supreme Court’s verdict upholding the abrogation of Article 370, BJP State General Secretary & former MLC, Vibodh Gupta said: “Justice has been delivered to the People of Jammu, Kashmir & Ladakh as the Apex Court upholds the abrogation of Article 370 and Article 35A in Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh as constitutionally valid”.
    Vibodh Gupta said this while addressing a public gathering at Nagoon in Block Doongi of his home district Rajouri.’
    It is pertinent to mention here that on Monday Supreme Court of India’s five judge bench, including Chief Justice, unanimously upheld the validity of the Union Government’s 2019 decision to abrogate
    Article 370 of the constitution which granted special status to J&K.
    The Supreme Court was hearing a batch of petitions challenging the Union Government’s decision and it pointed out that Article 370 is a ‘temporary provision’.
    Vibodh Gupta asserted that the nullification of Articles 370 and 35A five years ago has transformed Jammu and Kashmir, bringing about substantial and far-reaching changes in the lives of its people. “Government’s focus on infrastructure development has been evident through numerous projects launched in the region such as the construction of highways, tunnels, expansion of railways etc. This not only improved connectivity but has also resulted in record surge in tourism in Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh and has made it a preferred destination for tourists,” said Vibodh Gupta.
    “After the abrogation of Article 370 there have been no shutdowns in the Kashmir Valley. Union Territory has hosted national and international events which have further contributed towards making J&K as the tourism capital of the world” he added.
    Vibodh highlighted the benefits of abrogation of articles 370 on various sections of society, including of society whether STs, women, OBCs, PoJK displaced people, Valmiki samaj, Gorkha Samaj, West Pakistan Refugees etc. in Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh.
    ST’s of J&K are the prominent beneficiary of abrogation of Article 370 and 35A and have been empowered by the Modi government through political reservation. Since 5 Aug 2019 more than one lakh people, who migrated from West Pakistan to Jammu in 1947, are being granted full citizenship and domicile rights, including ownership rights for property, the right to vote, and eligibility for government jobs,” Vibodh said.
    “Abrogation of Article 370 and 35A has brought a pandora of opportunities for the youth of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh in the fields of startups, industries, tourism, sports, agriculture and its allied sectors,” said Vibodh Gupta.
    Rajouri BJP District President Rajouri, Dinesh Sharma has also welcomed the Supreme Court’s unanimous decision verdict upholding the Modi Govt’s decision to abrogate provisions of Article 370.
    “Since the visionary choice to revoke Article 370, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, tranquillity and normalcy have been successfully restored in Jammu and Kashmir.
    Subsequent growth and development initiatives have revitalized human life in the once violence-torn valley, bringing about a positive transformation,” said Dinesh Sharma.
    He expresses gratitude for the Supreme Court’s affirmation and believes it reinforces the commitment to peace, development, and prosperity in the region.

    The ODOP initiative aligns with the Prime Minister’s Formalization of Micro Food Enterprises (PMFME) Scheme, adopting a “One District One Product” approach to amplify the advantages of scale in terms of input procurement, shared services, and product marketing.

    The vision of this initiative is to give a fillip to the Export volume and to boost the local Economy, particularly focusing on promoting specific products or industries within the District that have good export potential, thereby likely to enhance production, improve quality, and facilitate marketing and export of these products. The (ODOP – DEH) is not a scheme but rather an initiative aimed at fostering balanced development in the District.

    The idea is also to enable holistic socioeconomic growth of the local Artisans and Exporters of the District. The Initiative’ is being run by the Department of Commerce (DoC) with the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) as a major stakeholder.

    The ODOP Help Desk serves as a dedicated resource center, facilitating seamless coordination between local producers, stakeholders, and government agencies. This strategic move aims to streamline the implementation of the PMFME Scheme by promoting specialization, enhancing product quality, and ensuring effective marketing strategies for each distinct product within the district.

    Under the ODOP framework, specific products that define the unique identity and economic potential of Rajouri district will receive targeted support. This includes assistance in procuring quality inputs, accessing common services, and developing robust marketing channels. The establishment of the ODOP Help Desk is a testament to the commitment of the district administration towards empowering local businesses and contributing to the larger vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat.

    The ODOP Help Desk is a pivotal step towards realizing the economic potential of our district. By focusing on one key product per district, we aim to create a sustainable model that not only boosts local businesses but also contributes to the national goal of self-reliance.”

    The District Indicators Framework is a comprehensive initiative aimed at assessing and improving the overall development and well-being of the district. It encompasses various aspects such as education, healthcare, infrastructure, social welfare, economic growth, and environmental sustainability. By analysing a set of indicators and performance metrics, the framework provides a holistic view of the district’s progress and helps identify areas for targeted intervention and improvement.

    Deputy Commissioner Vikas Kundal emphasised the importance of the District Indicator Framework as a tool for effective governance and evidence-based decision-making.     “The District Indicators Framework is a vital instrument that enables us to gauge our progress in key areas of development.     RAJOURI DECEMBER 10;--A young housewife was found hanging from the ceiling of a room by the neighbours in Argi village of Rajouri police station jurisdiction.
    The father and brother of the deceased at Associated Hospital Government Medical College (AH GMC) alleged that as one of the neighbours didn’t find anybody inside the house for a long time, they opened the door and found her hanging from the ceiling.
    “They contacted us and accordingly the police were informed. We rushed to Argi village and brought her down as the police reached late because of the long distance from the police post” said the father of the deceased, who is a poor labourer.
    Family members and relatives alleged that she was killed by her husband and in-laws.
    The girl was married about 20 months ago and since then her husband, his brother and parents had been harassing her.
    The matter was twice raised in the Panchayat and with the police at the police post & was settled. But in-laws, including Jeth (reportedly a cop) continued to harass her. Today when we reached her in-laws house none of them was present in the house/village” said father of the deceased.
    He also alleged that the police later nabbed my son-in-law namely Ravi from a cowshed where he was hiding.
    After legal formalities the police brought the body to AH GMC at Rajouri for postmortem and other medico-legal formalities.
    The family of the deceased have levelled allegations of murder against the husband, his father, mother and brother.
    In another tragic incident, a 22-years-old youth died by suicide on Sunday after losing all his savings in an online gambling app.
    The youth has been identified as Sahil Lone resident of Budhal of Rajouri district. Before taking this esteem step Sahil on his Instagram account pasted…..By by.
    The youth may have gone into depression because of losing the money. The inhabitants of the area, close friends, relatives have expressed shock over the extreme step taken by Sahil and expressed their condolences to the family.
