Divisive elements are hell-bent on disturbing peace among communities in Poonch City

    BY Kh,A.Madni

POONCH DECEMBER 22:–Strong communities are bound by a golden thread – the idea that we should treat others as we would like to be treated ourselves. I know that’s how the vast majority of people in this country act. So much of our happiness and pride stems from that idea and having peace of mind in the places we call home. Yet, there’s a small minority whose anti-social behaviour makes other people’s lives a misery.

It is simply unacceptable that anyone should have to live in fear of intimidation from their neighbor’s or gangs terrorising their streets; that women and girls should feel unsafe walking alone at night; or that businesses and shops should close down because town centres are no longer places that people want to be. That is not the kind of community anyone wants, and it is not the kind of country we are.
Development is linked to peace and stability.Deputy Commissioner Poonch is committed to the development of the district,as it continues to remain underdeveloped after so many decades due to politics of indifference.

We cannot afford instability in the region as elements are out there to exploit and vitiate the peaceful atmosphere, thereby the need of the hour is to remain vigilant and united,”

A strong bond exists between different communities in Pir Panjal, lauding them as examples of upholding secular values and living harmoniously, despite disturbances in neighboring areas.
As far as Poonch fort is concerned, it is not anyone’s personal estate because it is a national heritage, no one has considered it as their personal estate, but these few people are determined to disturb the peaceful atmosphere hereafter watching the viral video on social media,in which a person Using unparliamentary language on social media against Deputy Commissioner and SSP Poonch which is the height of his ignorance,it has to be said that there is a dire need for more educational institutions in Poonch where such ignorant and rude people can be taught good manners. The population of Poonch district consists of about four lakh, and only a person from such a population does not like the work of Deputy Commissioner Poonch, then it is his ignorance.
But the civilized and intellectual people of the society have to come forward and save the environment here from being damaged by such miscreants. All the buildings that come in the national heritage cannot be attributed to any one community, so to say that this Fort belongs to our ancestors is nothing but ignorance. If this is the standard, then the construction of Poonch Fort was started by Raja Abdul Razaq Khan, which was later completed by his son Raja Rustam Khan, that is the reason why the old name of Poonch was Rustam Nagar.
But despite this, no Khan or Rajput can claim that this Fort was built by our forefathers, so we have a right over it.Because it is a national heritage, it is the responsibility of the government to preserve it. Spreading such fabrications on social media that Poonch fort has been converted into a mosque shows stupidity and mental illness.
A few days ago, it was spread through social media that the Holy Quran has disappeared from the mosque in Fort, Poonch, due to which there was a great concern among the people, and on the insistence of the people, Mufti Farooq Hussain Misbahi, the grand Mufti of Poonch, went to the spot and cleared the misunderstanding of the public, after which the concern in the public circles was over. But it is the end of bullying that one section continues to practice so-called brotherhood and another does the work of setting fire. Is brotherhood the responsibility of only one section? then why are false examples of brotherhood of Poonch presented every day? Now the district administration has to see who is the enemy of this brotherhood and from where the hatred is initiated.
It is hoped that such gangster elements will be punished strictly according to Indian laws so that no evil elements can disturb the peaceful environment here again.
Cautioning the people about ”elements inimical to peace” in Poonch administration must strive and strengthen bonds of social cohesion across the district. Development is linked to peace and stability, ,”Poonch continues to remain underdeveloped after so many decades due to politics of indifference.
it is the job of police to maintain law and order and to take steps to prevent anti social elements from infiltrating and causing disturbance to a peaceful atmosphere of Poonch .The police should take all necessary security measures to ensure that anti-social elements do not disturb the peace of the district.
