    ThannaMandi May 06:–The Checking of Vehicles at Poshana Top on Mughal Road is not checking but a great public harassment said Shakeel Mir President MC ThannaMandi in press statement issued here today .

    Mr said that we are not against the checking by the police and other security forces but the location of checking point is not suitable as the place lack water supply, cafeteria which is a great headache for comman passengers and patients in Particular which travel towards SKIMS, SMH and Other Hospitals of Kashmir .Thousands of Vehicles remain stranded at Poshana top which is extremely sloppy and tough terrain and the checking spot should be shifted either to Chandimarh or Peer Ki Gali demanded.

    Mr Mir added that  Checking also takes place at DKG but not a single passenger has suffered till date and the Police deployed at Poshana is only concerned with Tata Mobiles and Trucks and not with the suffering of commuters majority of which are patients, students etc thus causing great inconvenience to travellers.

    Mr Mir appeal to Hon’ble Governor of the state Jammu and Kashmir ,DIG Rajouri Poonch Range and SSP Poonch to Please take necessary steps in the interest of comman people so that the harassment and public suffering stops at the earliest.

    Rajouri,May 06:In order to take first hand appraisal of problems being faced by the people in LoC villages of Keri Sector amidst shelling Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Mohammad Aijaz Asad on Monday paid visit to these villages along LoC.

    He was accompanied by other senior officers of civil administration and police.

    During visit, DDC Rajouri Mohammad Aijaz Asad met with people in LoC villages including Ratal Basali which remained worst affected with shelling on Sunday and also met with locals and assured them of every possible support from district administration in view of shelling.

    DDC Rajouri Mohammad Aijaz Asad also met with the family members of a local resident Mohd Maroof S/o Makhan Din who sustained injuries in firing on Sunday and handed over an initial assistance of rupees fifteen thousands to the mother of the injured.

    During the assessment of losses suffered by people in terms of deaths of animals and damage to houses and cattle sheds, DDC Rajouri asked field officials to immediately conduct survey and to furnish loss report at the earliest and assured them of providing compensation under norms.

    A number of delegation also met DDC Rajouri and demanded for the construction of bunkers which are already sanctioned and provision of extra community and individual bunkers for the area.
    They also demanded the provision of bullet proof ambulance,to carry the injured during the the time of border skirmishes ,as all the area falls on the zero line,the other demands projected includes the construction of sub centre at Bassali, construction of alternate road high school chalas to bassali. The construction of this road will facilitate the hassle free movement of public during border tensions.The delegation was led by sarpanch chalas Liaquat Choudhary and social activist Anees Kasana.

    DDC assured them early redressal of their genuine demands and said district administration will extend all possible help to the Border residents.

    Kalakote, May 06 : Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh  Youth Congress, State Secretary, Nakul Sharma deplored the statement of Prime Minister Narendra Modi against late Rajiv Gandhi, saying the country will not forgive him for the remarks.

    During an election rally, Modi said Rajiv Gandhi was termed as “Mr. Clean by his courtiers, but died as corrupt no.1.

    Mr. Sharma said that due to failing in completing the promises given by the Prime Minister in the year 2014, Mr. Modi is left with no other option other than making false propaganda to influence the people by hate policy to the Gandhi family in his speeches.

    Mr. Sharma further said that Hatred, endless lying and absolutely no qualms in transgressing the decorum of public life are the three characteristics that mark the term of Narendra Modi and this stands intensified with his latest statements against the late Rajiv Gandhi and the nation will definitely not deplore it.

    Mr. Sharma lambasted Mr. Modi Amit Shah and said that country will give reply to both of them on 23 of May.

    Prime Minister Narendra Modi should be shown exit door as his five-year rule has been “most traumatic and devastating” for India’s youths, farmers, traders and every democratic institution, his predecessor Manmohan Singh said on Sunday, 5 May.

    Singh, in an exclusive interview to PTI, dismissed the notion that there was a wave in favour of Modi and asserted that the people have made up their minds to vote out the government that “does not believe in inclusive growth and is only worried about its political existence at the altar of disharmony”.

    In one of his most fierce attacks on the Modi dispensation, Singh alleged that the past five years only witnessed “stench” of corruption peaking to “unimaginable proportions”, adding demonetisation was perhaps the “biggest scam” of independent India

    The former prime minister also called Modi’s Pakistan policy “slipshod”, which he said was marred by a series of “flip-flops” — from going to Pakistan uninvited to inviting “rogue” ISI to the Pathankot air base in connection with the probe into a terrorist attack.

    Economy in ‘Dire Straits’

    Singh, known as the architect of India’s economic reforms in 1990s, felt the country is headed for a slowdown and accused the Modi regime of leaving the country’s economy in “dire straits”.

    He said people are “fed up” with the daily rhetoric and cosmetic change by the current dispensation and there is an undercurrent against this “illusion and boastful self aggrandizement”.

    ‘Intelligence Failure During Pulwama Speaks Volume’
    In a bid to counter the BJP’s focus on the issues of nationalism and terrorism in this election, the former prime minister sought to question Modi’s commitment.

    He said it was “distressing” to note that Modi was “filming movies” in the Jim Corbett National Park instead of chairing any meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) in the immediate aftermath of the Pulwama terror attack in which 40 CRPF personnel were killed.

    He claimed the “gross intelligence failure” in Pulwama speaks volumes about this government’s preparedness to tackle terror.

    On foreign policy, he said India has always been guided by national interests and not for “image building of any individual”.

    Foreign policy entails “gravitas”, a sense of diplomacy and restraint, sensitivity towards the concerns of the host nation and ultimately furthering the interests of India, but “regrettably, this government’s foreign policy is founded upon anything but a mature comprehension of diplomacy”, he said.

    Bandipora, May 05 (KNS): Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Movement (JKPM) on Sunday started the campaign for upcoming Assembly elections with a massive public gathering at Bandipora in which thousands of people participated.
    In his address, President JKPM Dr. Shah Faesal sought wholehearted support of the people and said that his party will not allow BJP-RSS to tinker with the special status of the Jammu and Kashmir state.
    He castigated the government for imposing an unprecedented ban on civilian traffic movement on National highway adding that it was a ploy to further push Kashmiris to wall.
    “Raids and enquiries by NIA and CBI are a part of the sinister game plan to humiliate Kashmiris and curb the voices of dissent,” Dr. Faesal warned.
    Dr Faesal expressed his anguish over the ill-treatment of political prisoners in jails outside the state.
    “There are reports from various jails that political prisoners of Kashmir are being ill-treated. Time has come when all these political prisoners should be released so that a conducive atmosphere for dialogue could be made,” he added.
    Dr. Faesal promised end to corruption if his party is voted to power.
    Party patron Javed Mustafa Mir in his speech called upon people to support the winds of change.
    JKPM’s Bandipora leader Dr Ghulam Mustafa demanded adequate tourism promotional measures in Bandipora to create job avenues for the local youth.
    On this occasion JKPM leader Shehla Rashid urged for providing better educational facilities for girls in far-flung and backward areas of Bandipora including Gurez for ensuring women empowerment.
    Eidgah candidate Uzair Ronga spoke on the role of youth in bringing change.
    Umer Shafi rather, south city traders and Manufactures association senior- vice president joined the party who was welcomed into the party fold by the JKPM leaders.
    State executive members Feroze Peerzada, Feroz Wani, Iqbal Ahmad Rather and Chasfeeda Shah also participated in this event.     Poonch May 05 :–In order to check the trafficking of illicit liquor, its illegal sale & purchase, Poonch Police has started a special drive. Carrying farward the drive, today, on the direction’s of SSP Poonch Sh Romesh K Angral JKPS, a police party led by SHO Mendhar Sajjad mir under supervision of SDPO MENDHAR Neeraj Padyar JKPS laid a naka at mankote.

    During checking & frisking two suspected person started fleeing from the spot to avoid checking,but the alert cop’s along with ASI noor Hussain chased the suspected person & apprehended him.On search of vehicle recovered 590 Quarters of illicit liquor from 10 bag which he was carrying in his maruti 800 bearing reg no. Jk02 N 9017.

    On questioning they revealed their identity as Shariaz Ah mir S/O mohd irshaad R/o sandot Balakote and shabir Ahamad S/O Ghulam mohd R/O Dhargaloon mendhar. In this regard case FIR no.62/2019 U/S 48(a) of excise act stand registered against the accused persons at P/S mendhar .Investigation taken up.

    Whatever we can say and who shall trust on this , that in this modern era of science and technology and the age of 21st century , several regions in Kishtwar constituency remain neglected by Centre and State Government from Independent India .
    To whom we blame and who will stand with poors , that may sound strange but its true that , “Calling it as mordern age of science and technology or early man age , Marwah Dachan Warwan residents awaits basic amenities” .
    The author is unknown from said village , but having a documentary shots and exclusive interview of residents from Marwah Dachan Warwan , surprised that how poor and downtrodden masses are living in this modern era as they are deprived of their basic rights .
    In an exclusive chat with prominent Social Activist from Marwah Dachan Warwan Sheikh Zafferullah said that the whole region is falling under jurisdiction of Kishtwar district in 51 Kishtwar Assembly segment having its own status and natural beauties , remain neglected by State Government from its Independence as representatives didn’t pay any heed toward these regions . The above said residents are still living their life like early man as they are being deprived of basic rights .
    Having a ray of hope to raise their voices without any caste, creed, colour, and religions claims that they are not having the right of Democratic India as they are being deprived from basic rights and awaits basic amenities . Among the residents of Marwah Dachan Warwan, they informed that we are not having road connectivity as we have to shouldered patients and pregnant ladies to reach District Hospital Kishtwar from where we have to lift them to Government Medical College Jammu.
    Residents added that you can think what we have to do in case of emergency and accidental cases , How we have to reach Hospital for treatment , Are we not humans ? Residents of Marwah Dachan Warwan asked state government that whatever you shall feel when your relative pregnant women shall give birth to a baby child when she is on its way to Hospital , Is Humanity alive in you and You being a ruler of Jammu and Kashmir state I have right to ask question and What will happen with you if such incidents happened to anyone of your relatives ?
    As per the details that “Roads are called backbone of development , Unfortunately Marwah Dachan Warwan is still not connected with District Headquarter Kishtwar and rest with State by road connectivity as the work was started in few decades ago but till day concerned agencies failed in construction of road . It is unknown to we peoples weather the road is under JKPCC, PMGSY or any other department. Will the Marwah Dachan Warwan get road connectivity it is yet to mention ?
    The educational system is completely defunct in Marwah Dachan Warwan as only Government Higher Secondary school is established from last several decades that is running under violation of teaching staff , lack of accommodation / classrooms, playground and other educational systems . From where students after passing class 12th examination send off their studies as they are not having highly source of income to study on rented accommodation at Kishtwar or Anantnag . Will the Higher Secondary and shall all posts filled , It is yet to mention? Adding that some schools lacks the accommodation of building as few days ago a visual on social media went viral when a girl student appeals State Administration for early sanctioning of schools building and modernization of educational system in remote areas.
    Negligence of Public Health Engineering Department ( PHE ) or else other , concerned department receiving water bills timely from these poor , Marwah Dachan Warwan is still facing scarcity of safe drinking water as no proper pipeline is installed from Independence , besides they have to fetch water for springs or nallas for their daily use as this is question mark against said department . Will the new pipeline installed and shall the residents gets safe drinking water , it is yet to mention ? Whatever we can say “Digital India or Stone age” Power Development Department ( PDD ) had became only a name for Marwah Dachan Warwan as few iron poles are installed and rest the electrification had not yet completed despite PDD received Award of 100% electrification in Jammu and Kashmir. Is this justice with poors peoples who are yet waiting to see electricity in their homes. Will PDD install iron poles and establish new stations to provide better electrification to village Marwah Dachan Warwan , it is yet to mention ?
    Is this transparency or corruption in CAPD as residents had to collect their ration from various locations as no Food depot is opened on proper location , Beside residents faces the acute shortage of essential commodities including Rice, Aata, Sugar, Kerosene oil and LPG Gas as they are not getting the ration as per the monthly quota . Beside these CA&PD dealers / salesman had involved the poors in Above Poverty Line (APL) category who are having their monthly income below 4000 ,and others who are having political image are involved in Below Poverty Line (BPL) category , that is injustice with poor residents of village Marwah Dachan Warwan as the ration cards are under correction due to negligence of concerned dealers . Will ration depot opened and poors involved in BPL category , it is yet to mentioned. FallingsFallings under category of Schedule Caste , Schedule Tribe and other backward class ( S C and S T ) residents of Marwah Dachan Warwan are not getting the benefits under SC / ST quota from various sponsored schemes . Will be the residents get benefit of category , it is yet to mention ? Under the Prime Minister flagship programme of Swatch Bharat Abhiyan , Rural Development Department failed in construction of Toilets , developmental works and cattle turfs under Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) schemes . Beside these few developmental work takes place for public interest as the work that were taken were for their own intrest of employees in RDD . Will the proper works taken under MGNREGA and shall transparency comes in RDD , it is yet to mention ?
    Under the centrally sponsored scheme Social Welfare Department failed in opening of Aanganwadi and Balwadi centers for infants and the benefits for pregnant women is denied from said programme . Why not such centers established for cause of poors , Will such centres established or not , it is yet to mention ? In Marwah Dachan Warwan Higher Secondary school is running under violation of staff, requirement norms and many more resulting that mostly the students remains illiterate . Beside all these facts and grevicences of Marwah Dachan Warwan it is yet mention that ” Is it part of Democratic India or not ” ? Who is responsible for negligence of Marwah Dachan Warwan? Will the residents of Marwah Dachan Warwan gets response, it is yet to mention .
    Not only these , residents of Marwah Dachan Warwan residents are still living like early man age in this modern era of technology . It is important to mention that from Independent India , the said village always remain neglected by State Government and concerned representatives who fails to reach out cause of poor suffering .

    Kishtwar May 05 :– Hailing from a conflicted zone where from last year whole township is running under turmoil of violence and terrorism among which some dignified personalities sacrifices their lives for society. A boy from my home district secured 86% marks in CBSE class 12th exam of which the result was declared few days ago. Mohd Iefan Najjar who happens to be son of newly elected Councillor in Kishtwar Municipality Constituency secured 86% despite whole township was facing threat of terrorism .

    In a brief conversation with media , Mohd Iefan said that , I am hailing from town that is having a historic history in past of communal harmony and brotherhood where Kishtwar is known as place of sufies and saints . Adding that we have respond such mischievous elements by cracking such prestigious exams and aims to create bond of brotherhood among all communities living in Kishtwar and entire Chenab Valley. In response to a question , Mohd Iefan said that , I wants to become IAS so as I can serve society in better way.

    It is important to mention that Mohd Iefan is son of Sajjad Najjar who was elected as Councillor of Kishtwar Municipality Constituency 74 and had breaks all records to bring transparency and accountability in every nook and corner of Kishtwar district.

    Mendhar 5 May.2019.Reiterating the Party’s Committment to bring normalcy in the state the People’s Democratic Party State Sectery Advocate Mohd Mahroof Khan visited far-flung ,Dhargloon and Sangoite area of Mendhar constituency and interacted with the people and listened their grievances.

    During the tour, people raised several demands and problems being faced by them. The issues raised by the people included improvement of roads, better drinking water and electricity supply. It was also informed by the local job card holders that they have not been paid their wages for the last couple of years for various developmental projects under MGNREGA. The locals also told PDP leader that the only health centre in the area is shortage of Doctors for the last several months. While talking to people Khan said that Peoples Democratic Party under the dynamic leadership PDP President Mehbooba Mufti is committed to provide better basic services to the people of far-flung areas with focus on education and healthcare. He assured the people that their genuine demands would be brought into the notice of concerned authorities for their early redressal.
    He also asked them to spread the message of party in every nook and corner of the area.
