    Wajaid Chowdhary

Rajouri.March 08 :–District President of Jammu and Apni Party, Adv. Syed Manzoor Bukhari criticized the traditional politicians of the erstwhile state and said that for the sake of so-called power, selfish politicians often show hollow dreams to innocent people that can never be interpreted.

He said that when the state was partially autonomous, power was gained by dreams of independence and later in the intoxication of the chair, thay also made a deal of autonomy and even the sovereignty was bargained

” There was politics for a long time on pre-1953 position, then autonomy and self-rule became the center of politics..” Manzoor said adding that politicians showed the dreams that could never be fulfilled.

After coming to power they bargained all the assets and special positions of the state, he accused further adding that because of dual politics and double standard of selfish politicians, such a day was witnessed when state’s our identity and integrity ceased to exist.

He was addressing party workers at Rajouri on the occasion of Jammu Kashmir Apni Party’s commemoration day.

Bukhari added that there was no political leader or political party which raised the voice of people’s rights when people’s representatives were imprisoned and restrictions on expression of opinion was imposed after the degradation of state and removal of Article 370 and 35A.

” At that time, there was an urgent need for a political leader to come forward with a forum that would talk about the integrity of the broken state and the rights of the people.” he said adding that in this most difficult hour, Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari, in consultation with a few realistic and dutiful leaders, founded Jammu Kashmir Apni party on March 8, 2020 and pledged to fight for the restoration of the state and other legitimate rights of the people.

Bukhari said that Jammu Kashmir Apni party will never trade for lies and dreams that will never be embarrassed.

Politics of deception and lies have already done great harm and the people are tired of such deceptive tactics, he added.

The party will strive for the restoration of all democratic rights with the guarantee of state integrity, public identity, restoration of peace, land and jobs.

Addressing the workers on the occasion, senior party leader Fazal Chauhan appealed to the country’s top leadership to immediately restore the status of the state and hold elections to the state assembly.

The state assembly is the only forum that is accountable to the people and the entire administration is accountable to the members of the assembly, he said.

ED summon to Mehbooba nothing but political vendetta: Tarigami

Srinagar CNS, : The summoning of PDP President and former Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) is another glaring example how the BJP government at the Center is trying to muzzle the voices of dissent by using probe agencies against political opponents.

This is nothing but a political vendetta and part of vindictive politics practiced by the Central government to kill dissent and disagreement and to silence the genuine demand for the reversal of unilateral and unconstitutional decisions of August 5, 2019.

The BJP government must realise the dangers of witch-hunting and intimidation and desist from vindictive designs. Instead it should hold dialogue with stakeholders and restore special status which remains the only option to address the deepening uncertainty in Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh.
