    A police official in a sting operation was caught on camera while taking bribe from a driver of a minibus (matador). The cop can be seen while demanding Rs. 3000 from a driver for preparing a challan to be presented in court and also receiving money. It is pertinent to mention here that during this week traffic police headed by a young Dy. SP Mr. Pankaj Sudan launched a special drive against the offenders violating the traffic rules and the crack down was equally supported by the Kishtwar police under supervision of SSP Mr. Harmeet Mehta. Hundreds of vehicles were challaned and even FIR were registered. Locals appreciated the role of Police especially SSP Harmet Mehta and Dy.SP Pankaj Sudan but such shameful acts by the subordinates is bringing bad name to the department.

    Bungling in JKPCC Crime Branch conducts raids at multiple locations in Valley

    Srinagar, Mar 6: In connection with ‘malpractices and fraud’ in Jammu Kashmir Projects Construction Corporation (JKPCC), the sleuths from Crime Branch Friday conducted raids in different of Kashmir Valley.

    Pertinently,Crime Branch had started a probe after BJP leader Khalid Jahangir had alleged bungling in the Corporation during PDP-BJP rule when Nayeem Akhtar was the Minister from Roads and Buildings and Atul Daloo as its Managing Director.

    The Corporation is accused of resorting to irregularities, backdoor appointments, nepotism and besides it is also accused of awarding contracts to those contractors close to power corridors.

    Official sources told Kashmir News Trust that the raids were conducted in Ganderbal, Kupwara and Shopian districts.

    An official from Crime Branch confirmed that raids were carried out but he declined to comment on what actually transpired during these raids. “We will share the details when time will come,” he added. (KNT)

    انٹر نیشنل ڈیسک :ایران کے اعلیٰ رہنما آیت اللہ خامنہ ای نے جمعرات کو ہندوستان میں مسلمانوں کے خلاف تشدد کی مذمت کی اور کہا کہ دہلی میں حالیہ فرقہ وارانہ تشدد کے تعلق سے پوری دنیا کے مسلمانوں کے دل غمزدہ ہیں۔
    آیت اللہ خامنہ ای نے اپنے ٹویٹر پوسٹ میں لکھا ہے کہ ہندوستان میں مسلمانوں کے قتل عام پر پوری دنیا کے مسلمانوں کے دل غمگین ہیں۔حکومت ہند کو چاہئے کہ وہ انتہا پسند ہندوں اور ان کی پارٹیوں سے نمٹے اور مسلمانوں کے قتل عام کو روکے تاکہ ہندوستان عالم اسلام سے کٹ کر نہ رہ جائے۔ یہ پوسٹ ہیش ٹیگ’ ہندوستانی مسلمان خطرے میں’ کے ساتھ ختم ہوتی ہے۔
    واضح رہے کہ شہریت ترمیمی قانون ( سی اے اے ) حامیوں اور مخالفین کے درمیان شمال مشرقی دہلی میں ہوئے پر تشدد تصادم میں اب تک 53 افراد ہلاک ہوچکے ہیں۔یاد رہے کہ نئی دہلی میں ایران کے سفیر علی چیگانی کو طلب کیا گیا اور اس کے دہلی میں تشدد سے متعلق ایرانی وزیر خارجہ جواد ظریف کے ‘ناپسندیدہ’ تبصروں کے خلاف سخت احتجاج کرنے کے دو دن بعد آیت اللہ خامنہ ای کا بیان یہ سامنے آیا ہے۔

    ایران کی سلامتی اور خارجہ پالیسی سے متعلق فیصلے لینے والے خامنہ ای نے انگریزی ، اردو ، فارسی اور عربی میں ٹویٹ کیا۔ ساتھ میں ، ایک بچے کی تصویر بھی پوسٹ کی گئی ہے ، جو دہلی میں حالیہ تشدد میں ہلاک ہونے والے شخص کی لاش دیکھ کر رو رہا ہے۔
    اہم بات یہ ہے کہ پیر کو ظریف نے ٹویٹ کیا ، “ایران ہندوستانی مسلمانوں کے خلاف منظم تشدد کی مذمت کرتا ہے۔ ایران صدیوں سے ہندوستان کا دوست رہا ہے۔ ہم ہندوستانی حکام سے تمام ہندوستانیوں کی حفاظت کی اپیل کرتے ہیں۔ لاپرواہی کر تشدد کے روکنے کو یقینی بنائیں اور ان کی روک تھام کریں۔ پرامن بات چیت اور قانون کی پاسداری سے آگے کی راہ ہموار ہوگی۔ “اگلے ہی دن ، ہندوستان نے چیگانی کو طلب کیا اور بتایا کہ ظریف کے لئے یہ قابل قبول نہیں ہے کہ وہ دہلی میں ہونے والے واقعات کا انتخابی اور متعصبانہ انداز میں ذکر کریں۔

    Rajouri,March,06:To review preparedness for tackling Corona virus outbreak in the district,the District Development Commissioner Rajouri,Mohammad Nazir Sheikh today convened a meeting of the concerned officers here in his office chamber.

    The meeting was attended by Senior Superintendent of police,Chandan Kohli, Additional Deputy Commissioner Rajouri,Sher Singh,Chief Medical Officer,Dr.Sanjeev Puri,Chief Education Officer,Ram Saroop,Assistant Commissioner Development,Sushil Khajuria and District Panchayat Officer,Dr.Abdul Khabir.

    While speaking during the meeting the Chief Medical Officer said that an isolation ward exclusively for the patients having symptoms of CoronaVirus has been established at District hospital.He also informed about the steps being taken by the health department to tackle CoronaVirus outbreak in the district.He said that in order to sensitize ASHA workers,Anganwadi workers and PRI members about the cause of spread of Corona Virus and the ways by which it can be prevented,special awareness programmes have been conducted recently.He also said that a 24/7 helpline number, 01962264040 has been made functional at CMO Office to meet any emergency and to pass on the required information.

    It was decided in the meeting a help and monitoring point shall be set up by the health department at a suitable location at Sunderbani to check whether the people entering the district have any infection of Coronavirus or not.Senior Superintendent of Police has been asked to provide sufficient number of police personnels at the location.Chief Medical Officer has been directed to install hoardings at public places to aware the general public about the cause of spread of virus and the ways by which it can be prevented.Chief Education Officer has been instructed to generate awareness among the school students about the virus in morning assembly who in turn will disseminate the required information among their family members and the society.

    While speaking during the meeting the DDC asked the concerned officers to make concerted efforts to prevent the spread of CoronaVirus in the district.He also asked them to generate mass awareness among the general public about the cause of spread of virus in humans,symptoms and the ways which can be adopted to prevent the spread of infection.He directed them to be in a state of readiness and ensure that best possible aid is provided to the general public in case of any emergency occurring due to the spread of CoronaVirus in the district.

    Rajouri,March 6 :- Foiling an attempt of anti social elements to circulate fake currency in the market, the Jammu and Kashmir police in Rajouri district have arrested a person after a consignment of fake currency notes was recovered from his possession.

    Police in its official statement said that a team of police headed by Station House Officer Rajouri Sameer Jillani and Deputy SP Headquarter Surinder Khadyar was on routine patrolling in the area when they saw a man walking alongside road who started to behave suspiciously on seeing police team and changed his direction of walking.
    Sensing suspicion, team of police intercepted the man after a brief chase and put him to frisking when cash comprising of 500 rupee notes was recovered, said police.
    Police further informed that during examination of the recovered cash as per SOPs, the recovered 198 notes of 500 denomination amounting 99000 rupees were found to be of fake nature after which all the recovered currency notes have been seized and accused identified as Abdul Khaliq Pervaiz son of Munshi Khan resident of Dhargaloon Mendhar in Poonch district have been arrested.
    Police said that a case FIR 116/2020 under sections 489-C IPC have been registered in Rajouri police station.
    Senior Superintendent of Police Rajouri, Chandan Kohli said that a team of police headed by Additional SP Rajouri Liyaqit Ali is further investigating the matter to identify and nab other accused involved in circulation of fake currency.

    قومی راجدھانی دہلی میں گزشتہ ہفتے ہوئے بھیانک فسادات اور تشدد نے ہندوستان کے ساتھ ہی تقریباً پوری دنیا کو متفکر کر دیا ہے۔ وطن عزیز میں یہ تشویش پیدا ہوگئی ہے کہ آخر ہم کہاں جا رہے ہیں اور کیوں ہمارے ملک میں ایسے حالات پیدا کر دیئے گئے ہیں کہ مذہب کے نام پر لوگ ایک دوسرے کے ساتھ مرنے مارنے پرآمادہ ہیں اور جائیداد و املاک کو تباہ و برباد کیا جا رہا ہے، شہر کا امن و امان ختم کردیا گیا ہے، فرقہ وارانہ ہم آہنگی متاثر کرکے رکھ دی گئی ہے۔ ان حالات سے واضح طور پر بین الاقوامی سطح پرہندوستان کے وقا رکو نقصان پہنچاہے۔ یہی وجہ ہے کہ وہ ممالک جو ہندوستان کے ساتھ تاریخی روابط کے لیے جانے جاتے ہیں، آج وہ بھی یہاں کے فرقہ وارانہ ماحول پرانگشت نمائی کر رہے ہیں مگر مودی حکومت اپنے طاقت کے زعم میں کسی کی بھی تنقید سننے کو تیار نہیں ہے اور ‘ہرمعاملے’ کو ہندوستان کا داخلی معاملہ بتا کر اپنی کھال بچانے کی کوششوں میں مصروف ہے۔

    متنازعہ شہریت قانون کے خلاف ہندوستان کے مختلف حصوں میں ہونے والے پرامن دھرنے اورمظاہروں کو دبانے کے لئے بی جے پی اور اس کی پروردہ بھگوا تنظیموں نے تمام طرح کے ہتھکنڈے اپنا لیے مگر انہیں ہر بار منہ کی کھانی پڑی یہاں تک کہ شاہین باغ خاتون مظاہرین کو پیسے لے کردھرنے پربیٹھنے کا جھوٹ ہو یا جامعہ کے طلباء پر فائرنگ،تمام کوششیں ناکام ہونے کے بعد بھگوا بریگیڈ اپنی موت آپ مرنے والی تھی کہ نفرت کا دھندا کرکے سیاست کی دکان چلانے والوں نے شمال مشرقی دہلی کا انتخاب کیا اورشرپسندوں کو کام پرلگا دیا۔ بی جے پی کے کپل مشرا وہاں پہنچے اورزہرافشانی کرکے بالواطہ طورپرفسادیوں کی حوصلہ افزائی کی جس کے کچھ ہی گھنٹوں بعد امن اورمیل جول کے لیے مشہور دہلی جل اٹھی۔ تقریباً پانچ روزتک چلے فساد میں درجنوں معصوم لوگوں کی جان چلی گئی اوربے شماراملاک کو نقصان ہوا۔ان سب کے باوجود حکومت اپنی ہٹ دھرمی پرقائم رہی۔

    ایسا لگتا ہے کہ پڑوسی ممالک کے اقلیتوں کی خیرخواہی کا دم بھرنے والی مرکزکی مودی حکومت ہندوستان کے اقلیتوں کی دشمن بن گئی ہے ورنہ کیا وجہ تھی کہ دہلی کا امن وامان غارت کرنے والے بی جے پی لیڈروں کے خلاف کارروائی نہیں کی گئی۔ کپل مشرا کی اشتعال انگیزی سے فساد بھڑکنے تک دہلی پولس ہاتھ پرہاتھ دھرے بیٹھی رہی۔ یہ بھی کہا جا سکتا ہے کہ خود مرکزی حکومت جس کے کنٹرول میں دہلی کی پولس کام کرتی ہے، نہیں چاہتی تھی کہ حالات کو معمول پر لایا جائے یا امن کو متاثر کرنے اور حالات کو بگاڑنے والوں کے خلاف واقعی کوئی کارروائی کی جائے۔عدالت میں ظاہر کئے گئے موقف سے تو یہی اشارے ملتے ہیں کہ مرکزی حکومت خود بھی کوئی کارروائی کرنا نہیں چاہتی۔

    Anantnag: :- Managing Director, Kashmir Power Discom KPDCL Mohammad Aijaz Asad today convened a meeting of officers of Circle Level, Divisional Level & Sub Divisional level of Project Wing Kmr (KPDCL) and Distribution Wing (KPDCL) at Dak Bunglow Anantnag and took overall review of power scenario in south Kashmir. During the meeting he reviewed works under various Centrally Sponsored Schemes like RAPDRP Part B, IPDS, PMDP Urban, DDUGJY, PMDP Rural was also held. The execution of the works under RAPDRP Part B ,IPDS & PMDP Urban aims to create/augment 33/11 KV Sub Stations along with associate LT lines, installation of HVDS and Aerial Bunched Cable for theft prone areas, replacement of electromagnetic energy meter with tamper proof electronic meter, Roof Top Solar etc.
    DDUGJY & PMDP Rural schemes are meant for electrification of un-electrified villages, connecting unconnected rural households, separation of agriculture and non- agriculture feeders, strengthening and augmentation of Sub Transmission and Distribution (ST&D) infrastructure in rural areas etc.

    The meeting was attended by Superintending Engineers, Executive Engineers and Assistant Executive Engineers from Projects and Distribution Wing of Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation. The PIAs informed that five towns of Anantnag, Dooru, Kulgam, Bijhbhera and Shopian shall be completed by June,2020. MD issued directions to hand over Anantnag and Kulgam Towns within one month. He expressed displeasure over sluggish progress under DDUGJY. It was noted that progress in Pulwama circle under IPDS was 50% whereas in Bijhbhera progress of 78% has been recorded.

    The managing Director stressed upon the officers/officials to ensure timely completion of projects within the deadlines set by Ministry of Power Government of India.
    Meanwhile strategy for implementation of Amnesty scheme announced by the Government was also finalised with all the Sub divisional officers of South Kashmir.

    راجوری: ہر سال مالی سال کے اختتام پذیر ہونے سے قبل جموں کشمیر سیکرٹریٹ میں لاکھوں روپے صرف چند فیصد کمیشن دے کر حاصل کئے جاتے ہیں اور ضرورت مند لوگوں کو ہر بار صرف انتظار کرنا پڑتا ہے۔

    تفصیلات کے مطابق اس وقت مالی سال اختتام پذیر ہونے والا ہے اور ضرورت مند انتظار میں ہیں کہ شاید حکومت فنڈز ریلیز کرے گی لیکن وہیں سیکرٹریٹ میں پیسے دے کر پیسے لینے کا سلسلہ عروج پر چل رہا ہے اور اس میں اعلیٰ آفیسران بھی شامل ہیں۔

    ذرائع کے مطابق لاکھوں روپے کے فنڈز صرف چند فیصد کمیشن سے حاصل کئے جارہے ہیں اور زیادہ تر سیاسی منظور نظر اور تجربے کار ٹھیکیدار علیحدہ علیحدہ کاموں کے لئے فنڈز کی خریدوفروخت کرتے ہیں اور مجبور ضرورت مند ہر سال اس انتظار میں رہتے ہیں ان کے چھوٹے چھوٹے کاموں کے لئے انہیں فنڈز دستیاب ہونگے لیکن ایسا کچھ بھی نہیں ہوتا اور کمیشن خوروں کی ملی بھگت سے چند مفاد پرست لاکھوں روپے کی ہیرا پھیری کرتے ہیں اور یہ واقعات کسی ایک یا دو اضلاع کا نہیں بلکہ جموں کشمیر کے زیادہ تر علاقوں میں ہورہا ہے۔

    لیفٹیننٹ گورنر سے لوگوں نے اپیل کی ہے کہ وہ اس سلسلہ کو بند کروائے اور اس میں ملوث چھوٹے بڑے ملازمین کے خلاف کارروائی عمل میں لائے۔

    The residents of Palulian area in Rajouri district are up in arms against the authorities for dilapidated condition of roads.

    Residents told GNS that the authorities are playing hide and seek with us as construction and widening of Rajouri to Palulian road in Rajouri district is still incomplete and is in shambles from several years.

    A local resident, Ibrar Qureshi, claimed that the concerned authorities have failed to macadamize and widening of the road as they were lying in dilapidated condition from past few years.

    He said the bad condition of roads become a nuisance, especially during rains.

    A road from Rajouri to Palulian is in bad condition and administration is sleeping, Said a resident Nissar Ahmed.

    He said that the roads are badly damaged that rainfall leaves no way for us to walk on as long strips of numerous roads turn into heaps of mud, adding that “the dilapidated road poses a risk of accidents and gets waterlogged after every rainfall.”

    The commuters of Palulian are having a tough time as the PMGSY Department has failed to carry out necessary repair of the roads.

    Locals have also requested the district administration to look into their grievances and take necessary steps so that they won’t suffer anymore.

    THANAMANDI, Mar 4: The administration of Thanamandi has virtually failed to provide public services to the people due to deep rooted corruption and absenteeism among the senior officials, which has derailed entire functioning of the official machinery.
    Sources told Early Times that people coming from remote areas had to face disappointment, when they find no officials present in their offices.
    Health facility in Thanamandi is in deplorable condition, the health centres don’t provide treatment and resort to referral system by referring patients to GMC Rajouri.
    Heath centres are running in shortage of essential medicines, even the medicines which are prescribed by the doctors are not available in the hospital and patients had to purchase them from market, which expose the local administration, they said.
    They further said that official vehicles are used for personal purpose by the officers in violation of rules. Even the transport facility is not available in various remote areas thereby people had to travel on foot. “Despite knowing the fact that majority of population rely on agriculture and their livestock but no animal camp has been organized to provide benefit to poor villagers,” they said. Many works under MGNAREGA were carried out in contravention of norms, huge amount of embezzlement is suspected. Locals appealed to LG for his intervention and demanded that action be taken against erring officials. Despite repeated calls, SDM Thanmandi didn’t pick phone for his comments.
