Administration Rajouri For the safety of women and for their comfort traveling in Rajouri District.Initially women’s vehicles were used properly for their travelling. But after sometime men starts traveling through women’s vehicle.
We are college students and we were happy and also feel comfort by travelling in women’s vehicles. Nowadays we feel very bad because our vehicles are being used for men’s travelling also. Concerned authorities slumber and not aware of increasing discomfort among women of the district Rajouri said Nighat Choudhary.
Women commuters complained men are not allowed to travel in women’s vehicles instead of this drivers allow them. Concerned authorities should take action against the drivers of women’s vehicles for giving seats to men.
When contacted ARTO Rajouri said, I’ll take strict action by cancelled license of driver for allowing mens in women’s vehicles.

Kapil expressed full confidence in Rajouri police and hoped that all accused in the clash would be proved innocent.
It is pertinent to mention here that two groups clashed after Bhairo Jhanki procession on 8th March taken place in which few persons of both groups got injured .

When Contacted BJP leader Kapil Saryal said that “Clash between Bhairo Jhanki commitee members and his supporters was an unfortunate incident which should not have happened.”
He also said that for the maintenance of peace I can sacrifice my life . He further said that FIR lodged against his supporters is devoid of facts and expressed full confidence in Rajouri Police that true facts would come out of it.

According to the locals, the recent downpour has washed away the blacktopping of the roads in the district, which were recently repaired and subsequently macadamized by the PMGSY department.
“The Department blacktopped roads 3 Month ago and spent crores of rupees. However, the recent rains washed away the blacktopping of the roads,” the residents of the district told GNS Online.
The inhabitants accused the executing agency of allegedly using substandard material for road macadamization. “The blacktopping got erased due to rains, which speaks volumes about the quality of work done by the executing agency,” the locals said adding the senior functionaries of the Department should take cognizance of the matter and order a probe into it.
“The money spent on repair and blacktopping of the road has been wasted,” said locals at Sialsui. “We felt glad after our road was repaired and macadamized. But now we are highly disappointed with the substandard work done during the repairs,” the residents of the area told GNS Online.
Similarly, the residents of Sialsui, Solki told GNS that the road linking their area was blacktopped before three month, but the substandard work got exposed after potholes appeared on the road due to downpour.
According to the people of these areas, they apprised the officials of the concerned department about the deteriorating road condition following rains. “However, the officials failed to take not of the matter,” the locals said.
The residents urged the Chief Engineer PMGSY to order the probe at an earliest and take stringent action against the officials involved.

Kalakote: Overloading poses threat to lives of passengers, Police in slumber
Overloading in passenger vehicles has become a headache for the residents of Solki and adjoining areas in Rajouri Distt.

Rajouri, March 12 –“Jam packed passenger vehicles run on hilly roads. No one is there to check these and lives of passengers are put at stake everyday,” said residents of Dharamsal Solki Manji Dhara Chappar.
In absence of any vigil by the traffic authorities, the buses and other passenger vehicles here resort to heavy overloading at the cost of passengers’ life.
The women commuters complained there were no separate seats for them in the public transport. Solki residents demanded action against erring drivers.
“The overloading has become a menace,” said Vijay Sharma, a Dharamsal village resident.
When contacted Dysp Traffic Rajouri Mohd Zubair said, “The drivers found guilty of overloading will be dealt with under law and overcrowding will not be allowed whatever the circumstances.”
He said: “We lodge many FIR in the recent past and we will also take action against the driver who overloaded the vehicle,” he added.

Srinagar, Mar 12 (KNO): Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leader, Abdul Qayoom Wani on Thursday announced he is going to bid adieu to politics forever.
According to wire service—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Wani said that he has quit the politics forever.
Want was earlier a trade union leader in Jammu and Kashmir and was known for raising the voices of employees working in different departments.
Wani told KNO that “I quit politics forever and will work only as civil society member and former trade union leader.”
He further said that he has taken such a decision as mark of protest against the abrogation of Jammu and Kashmir’s special status (Article 370) and bifurcation of erstwhile State into two Union Territories by the central government on August 5 last year.
Wani was among the mainstream leaders who was put under detention by the authorities in wake of the trashing of Article 370.
Wani, who contested the parliamentary elections on PDP ticket last year from North Kashmir after resigning from his government job as well as from the post of trade union leader, was kept at central jail for over six months and was released nearly a month ago—

Bandipora admin establishes control room, 71 surveillance teams for corona virus . Training of Surveillance teams for Corona virus COVID-19 conducted
Bandipora, Mar 11 (KNO): District Administration Bandipora has constituted 71 surveillance teams at the block level in the district to ensure that each and every suspected case of Corona virus is scrutinized and brought into the notice of administration for further course of action, the teams will operate under the District level Surveillance team headed by District Development Commissioner Shahbaz Ahmad Mirza.
Assistant Commissioner Revenue Reyaz Ahmad Beigh said that the 71 surveillance teams comprise of Revenue officials at block level along with representatives of Health Department and Anganwari workers have been constituted in the district while five Rapid Response Teams have also been constituted that will report to District Level Surveillance team. The Corona surveillance teams will compile the reports from block level teams on daily basis.
Meanwhile a Control Rooms have also been constituted at district level and block level in the district under the supervision of ACR Bandipora which will be functional 24×7. Chief Medical Officer Bandipora also issued a roosters for officers who shall be available in the district level Control Room. The district administration Bandipora on Wednesday also organized a day-long training cum sensitization programme for the surveillance teams. The programme was chaired by Assistant Commissioner Revenue Reyaz Ahmad Beigh.
Chief Medical Officer Bandipora Dr Tajamul, District Information Officer Jahangeer Akhoon were also present on the occasion. During the training session, experts briefed the participants about various SOPs to be adopted for scrutinizing the suspected cases of novel corona virus. They asked trainees to work with dedication to protect the public from deadly spreading corona virus by being more committed and watchful towards their duties which are assigned to them. Detailed presentations on the subject were held wherein experts briefed the participants about preventive measures that need to be taken, to avert the infection.
Speaking on the occasion, ACR Bandipora stressed upon the participants to play a proactive role in the campaign by educating people in their respective areas about the novel Corona virus, asking them to identify all such persons who have the travel history from the affected regions or to abroad and share the details with administration on the numbers of control room so that necessary action shall be initiated at earliest to avoid any hue and cry.
He said if someone has travel history to foreign country especially affected country or have some symptoms they should come forward and get them medically examined. He urged the people to adopt prescribed preventive measures and cooperate with the authorities in this regard, besides instructing them to endorse more cautiousness and appealed them not to be panic. Muslim Federation Rajouri condemn attack on Behro Committee Rajouri.
Rajouri :- In every year during the days of Holi festival Behro Committee Rajouri organised Behro festival in Rajouri town where the all communities enjoyed such function togather in every year in the town.
On the day of 8th March the function of Behro finished and in the same day in evening some miscreants attacked on some members of Behro Committee Rajouri which they were sitting in a shop near Tehsil office with iron rods and swords.
In this brutal attack some members of the said Committee injured and some of them were critical injured were also referred to GMC Jammu for further treatment.
After the attacks the dozens of miscreants throwing the bottles and pelleted the stones on the members of Behro committee from city chowk Rajouri when they are going to lodge an FIR against such these miscreants.The Identity of all miscreants didn’t established but the sources confirmed that they all from the village of Dassal two kmtrs away from the town.
In this brutility act done by miscreants in Rajouri town is strongly condemned able .
