    Rajouri,April,06:In the endeavour to reach to all the inter-state,inter district migrant labourers and workers who are stranded in Rajouri due to lockdown imposed in the wake of prevailing circumstances that have emerged due to CoronaVirus pandemic spread across the globe,the Deputy Commissioner Rajouri,Mohammad Nazir Sheikh on Monday convened a meeting with the chairman, Vice Chairman,Ward Councillors of MC Rajouri and civil society members of the district.

    While speaking during the meeting the DC said that the civil society members can play an indispensable role during this hour of crisis.He sought their active cooperation in fighting against the deadly virus.He asked them to come forward and support the district administration in these tough circumstances.

    He said that the inter-district/inter-state migrant labourers are facing extreme circumstances in the view of the lockdown and appealed to civil society members to support and facilitate them during this period.He added that the district administration is working at its full potential so that these labourers and other general public do not face difficulty in everyday life and also essential commodities are being made available without any delay.He also said beside the migrant labourers the District Administration is committed to provide all the essential to the destitutes,Poor,rag pickers and physically and mentally challenged persons in the district.

    He urged upon the civil society members to make all efforts possible in the direction of preventing the spread in the district by awaring the common masses about the measures which can be taken to minimise its spread.

    The DC said that every effort is being made to streamline the process of essential commodities distribution at the people’s door steps through a mechanism, already in place,but for efficient distribution and tracing of the genuine the Wards councillors could play an indispensable role.He asked the ward councillor to submit a list of the needy residing in their wards so that a a fast track method of ration distribution could be adopted.

    The DC also appealed to people to stay safe at their homes so that the risk of the COVID-19 pandemic is mitigated.

    The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Rajouri,Sher Singh, Assistant Commissioner Revenue,Mohd Ashraf,DSEO, Bilal Mir, District Panchayat Officer,Abdul Khabir, Assistant Director Food Civil Supplies and Consumers Affairs Mukhtar Ahmed lone, Tehsildar Rajouri,Sheraz Chouhan, Administrator Aquaf Shahdara sharief,Abdul Qayoom Dar, President MC Rajouri,Arif,VP MC Rajouri,Bharat Bushan,wards councillors, Khurshid Mir Janum,Subash Chander, president Beopar Mandal,Rajesh Gupta and other prominent citizens of the district.

    POONCH April 06:-Under Central Government schemes Garib Kalyan Package for women and constructional worker labour amount were given on their account due to which they came to withdraw their money at ATM and banks.

    Due to lot of rush on banks and ATM LDM reached the spot and asked the manager for making addtional cabinins for easily transaction.

    LDM gave strict adherence to the customer that no one should come inside the bank without sanitizer and mask and also created circles to keep distance between customers so that to prevent the spread of corona virus and together save the life of ourself and others

    LDM coordinated with the beneficiaries and the staff to co operate the bank staff for early release of payments the PMJAN DAN beneficiaries. and also educated the gatherings about the importance of social distances and wearing of mask

    Mr. Sharma appealed the District Administration to take immediate necessary action for providing adequate essential supplies and shelter to the victims in the government building till alternative arrangements done.

    Poonch,April 5:- Today, Team SSEM along with DySp Headquarters Poonch Mudasar Choudhary, Dr Sarfaraz Mir Prof Zahid Sharief and Ajaz Siddiqui visited two different places in district Poonch and distributed food kits to the needy.

    In the first half of the day the team visited Gundi and distributed 26 food kits to the poors amid the nationwide lockdown due to the spread of the COVID-19 Corona virus.

    In the second half of the day, they visited Hari Marhot, a remote village of Surankote and distributed 47 food kits to the poor.

    Despite the fact that, as per sources 929 peoples returned from different states and other nations, the SSEM team did not bother and continued in their mission to serve humanity.

    Rajouri,April 5:- With the restrictions of lockdown due to corona virus pandemic continued across Rajouri district on Sunday with streets kept wearing a deserted looks.

    Police in its official statement said that as per the orders of District Magistrate, only essential services were allowed to remain functional.

    A few people found violating government directions were also booked and action was initiated against them.

    Police said that a team of police station Rajouri during patrolling seized a JCB machine bearing registration JK11C 2275 which was found working near power house Kheora.
    Driver of the said machine vehicle escaped from the spot whose manhunt has been launched while a case FIR 184/2020 under sections 188 IPC has been registered in police station Rajouri.

    Another team of Kalakote police station during patrolling in village Dhalyote found that Saraj Din son of Noor Din resident of Dhalyote had started some construction work with around one dozen labourers were engaged in work.
    Kalakote police station registered a case i.e FIR 25/2020 under sections 188 IPC against the owner.

    Similarly, a case in FIR 182/2020 under sections 188 IPC has been registered against Mohammad Shahid son of Mohammad Zahid resident of Ujhan, at present Kheora, who was found doing construction work at his house.

    Meanwhile, many senior citizens who called up on police helpline dedicated for senior citizens and asked for help were facilitated in the form of provision of medicines and other essentials.

    Jammu, 05/Apr/2020: Demanding disbursal of funds lying with Jammu and Kashmir Waqf board to provide relief to the poor people who have become worst victim of  21 days nationwide Lockdown due to  Corona Pandemic.

    Dr. Shazad Ahmed Malik, former Vice Chancellor and known social activist of border district Poonch have written a letter to Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi, Union Minister of Minority Affairs who is also ex-officio Chairperson of  Central Waqf Council seeking the latter’s intervention so that funds worth millions of rupees lying with the Jammu & Kashmir Board for Muslim Specified Waqfs be used for welfare of people.

    In the emailed letter dated 04/April/2020, the former VC have urged the union minister to open up the treasures of the Waqf  board to utilize these funds for the poor and needy people of remote, hilly and border areas of J & K UT to  express solidarity with the fellow citizens in this difficult time.

    Urging the minister to take a cue from other individual and religious organizations of the country that have  donated whole heartedly and generously  to mitigate Corona Pandemic, Dr Shazad in his letter appealed  “ In this hour of crisis   on entire mankind, many renowned entrepreneurs , business organizations, cine stars and religious organizations have also donated generously towards Prime Ministers’ Care Fund or themselves supported the communities and I am being informed that amount worth crores is also lying with Jammu & Kashmir Board for Muslim Specified Waqfs therefore  I Request you to direct the concerned board/administrator  and officers  to utilize these funds for welfare of Poor people”.

    Giving further details about his letter, the former VC informed that despite all efforts by the government many areas especially remote, hilly and border areas of J & K UT like Rajouri, Poonch, Mendhar, Balakote,  Chammb, Nowshera, Uri, Kupwara e.t.c remain almost neglected. The poor people there needs helping hand and thus it becomes the responsibility of the Waqf Board to use the funds in its possession for the welfare of the poor and vulnerable section of the society who are suffering severally due to this nation wide lock down.

    “The article 35 A gave us a constitutional guarantee for safeguarding our rights. With its revocation, they cheated us. Some days before they came up with an order on domicile. Now after seeing the reaction in J&K, Ladakh, they amended the job clause in it,” he told KNS.

    “But my opinion is why they cannot amend it again tomorrow. As an MP, it is my responsibility to tell people that they should seek restoration of Article 370.(KNS)

    The Muncipal Committe Thanna Mandi led by its President Shakeel Mir started Fumigation in and around main bazar Thanna Mandi as well as various wards of Municipality so as to disinfect the surrounding so that the spread of Corona Virus CoVID 19 is contained. On the occasion more than one thousands masks were distributed to local inhabitants as well as to the hospital staff.
    Public has appreciated the efforts of local administration and MC.
    The Sub Divisional Magistrate Thanna Mandi Mukhtar Ahmed Shiekh KAS Anjum Bashir Khan Tehsildar, SDPO Sajjad Khan, SHO Thanna Mandi Dr Ishan and EO MC Mohd Qasam remained present.
    Moreover The Tehsil administration has established a 24×7 Control Room in Tehsil Office and In case of any emergency the public can make contact for redressal of their greviences.
