Rajouri April 13 :- In order to get a first hand appraisal of the ground situation amid prevailing lockdown due to Corona virus pandemic, Inspector General of Police, Jammu zone, IPS Mukesh Singh visited Rajouri district.

During his visit, IGP Jammu Mukesh Singh accompanied with Deputy Inspector General of Rajouri Poonch range, IPS Vivek Gupta.

Senior Superintendent of Police Rajouri Chandan Kohli IPS and other officers visited the main town Rajouri and took stock of the situation on ground.

During visit, officer met with personnel of Jammu and Kashmir police and Central Paramilitary Forces who are deployed on ground for implementation of restrictions and lockdown imposed in wake of COVID19 pandemic.

IGP complimented the pro-active and dedicated approach of personnel who are Frontline workers and are performing duties day in and day out.

Later, IGP Jammu Mukesh Singh visited District Police Lines Rajouri and examined the quarantine facility establihed in Police Lines for COVID19.

IGP Jammu chaired a meeting in DPL which was attended by all senior officers of the district and CAPF.

SSP Rajouri briefed IGP Jammu regarding the efforts in place to ensure a strict lockdown in prevention to COVID19.
SSP gave a presentation in which he mentioned the Helpline Desks established by Rajouri Police for Senior citizens and for the person in need of medicines, which have received good response.
He also mentioned the action initiated against the violators.

IGP Jammu expressed satisfaction on the effective implementation of lockdown guidelines and further directed to ensure that supply of essential commodities is maintained.

Poonch April 13 :-IGP Jammu Zone Mukesh Singh ( IPS) on Monday visited Poonch District to take stock of preparedness and measures to contain the spread of Covid -19.

He was accompanied by the DIG Rajouri-Poonch range Vivek Gupta (IPS).

SSP Poonch Ramesh Angral (JKPS) briefed the senior officers that adequate security arrangements are in place for lockdown,facilities are being provided to the police personnels performing duty on fore fronts and movement of essential vehicles coming from outside the districts.

During the visit the IGP Jammu reviewed the preparedness and facilities being provided to the police personnel at Dpl Poonch,also visited the quarantine centre and the arrangements made at Police Line Poonch.

At DPL Poonch the IGP reviewed the emergency response delivery system which has been establish for old age and senior citizens of Poonch district that works 24×7.

The IGP Jammu Zone with other officers also took the round of Poonch town to see the first hand arrangement of lock down.

Lateron he interacted with DC Poonch Rahul Yadav ( IAS),officers of District Police,civil administration and CAPF officers to review the preparedness to contain the spread of corono virus.He appreciated the role of every police personnel of Poonch District for working day night in assisting the civil administration,health department and ensuring lockdown to contain it’s spread.
He also hailed the role of civil societies,NGO,s, media fraternity and citizens of Poonch district that with the help of these people’s this lockdown remain successful so far and no corono virus case is detected in the district.

All markets of tehsil Mendhar viz Mankote, Ari, Harni, Gursai Nallah, Main Market Mendhar, and some adjoining area local shops, establishments except those dealing in essential goods and services are closed Despite some private vehicles and buses suspended,

Either the usually areas, besides bus stand, and whole market wore a deserted look as people stayed indoors to support the prime minister’s call.

Rajouri April 12 :- Monitoring of damaged Transformers and repairing at Divisional work shop Electric Division Rajouri is going on in full swing.
Where Engineers/ Technicians are repairing the damaged Transformers and Despatching the Transformers to the affected location on emergency basis during the current prevailing lockdown situation.
During this period 43 no of damaged Transformers of different capacities have been replaced during present Lockdown period and the public of the different affected habitation in Distinct Rajouri have got power supply restored within shortest possible time. I appreciate the effort of Team work shop who did the commendable job during this crisis Time .
When contacted Munshi Khan XEN PDD he told that
special thanks to worthy DDC Rajouri for timely given the permission/Movement passes to Drivers with vehicles for carrying / lifting of Transformers and carrying of repairing materials from Jammu to Rajouri also got permission from DC Jammu for opening of Supplier Factory/outlet at Jammu. Enabling ED Rajouri for timely repairing and replacing of damaged Transformers at different areas in the District
PDD Rajouri under the guidance of XEN PDD Munshi Khan have set an example for other departments how to work under such conditions of Emergency. They deserve lot of appreciation and also appealed before LG that they must be awarded for their best performance and this encourage them on one hand also there will be competition among departments for providing best services.

Jammu, April, 12:- All J&K Youth Federation (AJKYF) Incharge Jammu Province, Ch. Sanjay Singh Sandhu condemn the termination of Jammu province medical staff appointed under SRO-24 in a press statement issued here today.

Ch. Sanjay Singh Sandhu said that at this time when the world is suffering from covid-19, doctors and medical staff are risking their life for the better future of the world, termination of the medical staff appointed under SRO 24 at this time is discouraging the medical warriors for being in the war against covid-19.

Ch. Sanjay Singh Sandhu further said that the central government and state administration should solely focus on COVID-19 instead of creating propaganda to make J&K a political issue time and again, this is the time to stand and unite together as a nation and fight against corona virus as a nation but termination of medical staff in much needed time is unjustified step taken by the administration eventually shows that government has no concern for the people of J&K especially for Jammu province.

Ch. Sanjay Singh Sandhu while lambasting the central government and state administration said the centre government and state administration is hell bent for making anti-youth policies for the J&K downgraded state time and again. Downgrading of state into UT, snapping of 4G internet facilities, introducing domicile law and now termination of medical staff at the most required time shows the concern of the central government for the youth of J&K.

Ch. Sanjay Singh Sandhu urge upon the Lt. Governor of J&K UT for immediate restoration of the services of the terminated medical staff of Jammu province.
