Assembly Elections-2024 SVEEP aligns with green initiative to promote voter awareness in Rajouri

RAJOURI, SEPT 13:–A series of impactful Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) events were aligned with Green Initiative to promote voter awareness across five Assembly Constituencies of Rajouri District.
In AC-87 Thannamandi, the SVEEP team, led by Dr. Ather Aziz Raina, organized a Green Initiative at Yaseen English Public School Thannamandi, which included a plantation drive and a voter awareness campaign. The event, graced by Election Observer, Tikam Chand Bohra, featured a lecture by Mohammad Ayaz Raina (District SVEEP Team Member) on the importance of voter participation.
A voter pledge was taken by attendees, reaffirming their commitment to the electoral process.
A grand rall, coordinated by Nodal Officer, J.P. Singh and supervised by Returning Officer, Babu Ram Tandon was taken out in AC-84 Nowshera. Commencing from Government Girls Higher Secondary School, rally engaged over 1,500 students drawn from Government Degree College Nowshera, Boys HSS Nowshera, GBHSS Nowshera, TMP HSS Nowshera, New National Higher Secondary School Nowshera, Ambica High School Nowshera & Mother’s Shadow High School, Nowshera. The Mega Rally was flagged-off by RO AC-84 Nowshera (ADC) in presence of District Nodal Officer SVEEP Bishamber Dass (CEO Rajouri) & other dignitaries. The event aimed to boost civic engagement and readiness for the Assembly Elections on 25th September 2024, with notable participation from Vinod Sharma Ji, PwD icon District Rajouri.
In AC-83 Kalakote-Sunderbani, a voter awareness program at Harsh Niketan HSS focused on electoral literacy. The program, supervised by Babu Singh, Nodal Officer SVEEP, featured motivational speeches and poetry by Muddasir Mughal.
The event was well-received by staff and students, culminating in a voter pledge and calls for increased electoral participation.
AC-85 Rajouri hosted a macro awareness program in Sawani village, which included motivational lectures, a plantation drive, and a large rally with 350 participants. The event successfully engaged local residents and highlighted the importance of voter participation.
In AC-86 Budhal, Nodal Officer Prof. Tahir Nadeem addressed low polling rates at Rajnagar polling station by interacting with BAG members and planting a sapling to signify a commitment to democratic values.
