AS H&ME, Dr S. A. R. Shah directs initiation of several health initiatives in Rajouri

RAJOURI SEPT 08:–Administrative Secretary Health & Medical Education (H&ME) J&K, Dr Sayed Abid Rasheed Shah, IAS and Deputy Commissioner, Abhishek Sharma, IAS have directed initiation of several health initiatives in Rajouri district.
The initiatives were supervised by Director of Health Services Jammu, Dr Rakesh Mangotra, and executed under the direct guidance of CMO Rajouri, Dr M.L. Rana.
On the 5th day of the eight-day NIOS training for 29 ASHAs in Rajouri, Johnson Chandail, Divisional Coordinator, and Davinder Attari, State Trainer, monitored the training to assess the skills and knowledge of ASHAs.
The team interacted with Dr M.L. Rana, and the District Resource Persons (DRPs), discussing the ASHA program and the progress of the ongoing training.
The RBSK team from Manjakote Block visited the District Early Intervention Centre (DEIC) Rajouri with 22 children for treatment of various health conditions.
The visit aimed at ensuring early diagnosis and management of health issues among children. The team facilitated comprehensive health assessments and provided necessary interventions to address the children’s medical needs.
The 39th National Eye Donation Fortnight (25th August to 8th September 2024) was observed at Block Headquarters of Rajouri District & attended by health functionaries, people & ASHAs.
The event highlighted the importance of eye donation in restoring vision and giving the gift of sight to those in need.
RBSK Mobile Health Teams conducted proactive district-wide screening sessions, prioritizing children’s health in different Anganwadi Centres (AWCs). This initiative focused on early detection and timely intervention to ensure better well-being for children.

Malaria teams launched a comprehensive awareness campaign across the district to educate residents on malaria prevention and treatment, promoting proactive measures to combat the disease.
