ARTO Rajouri disqualifies 09 DLs, suspends 4 RCs of persons accused in NDPS cases

RAJOURI, JANUARY 20:-Assistant Regional Transport Officer (ARTO) Rajouri, Rajesh Gupta today disqualified the driving licences of 4 individuals for violation of the Motor Vehicles Act and relevant rules.

Additionally, acting on the recommendation of District Police, the ARTO suspended 04 Registration Certificates (RCs) and disqualified 09 Driving Licences (DLs) of vehicle owners/drivers involved in cases registered under the NDPS Act.

The action was taken in accordance with the provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act and relevant rules, aiming to curb traffic violations and deter misuse of vehicles for illegal activities, including drug trafficking.

The ARTO emphasized that such enforcement measures shall continue in close coordination with the district police to ensure public safety and uphold the rule of law. He further warned strict action against habitual offenders and those found indulging in activities that endanger public life and security.

The Motor Vehicles Department has urged vehicle owners and drivers to strictly adhere to traffic norms and refrain from any unlawful activities, failing which stringent legal action shall follow.
