Army organised Inter Village Kabaddi competition

RAJOURI, NOVEMBER 17:–Kalal Rashtriya Rifle Battalion of the Indian Army on Wednesday organised an Inter Village Kabaddi c ompetition at village Lamberi in the Nowshera sub-division in the Rajouri district.
The Kabaddi competition was organised with a view to instill confidence and team building traits amongst the youth and inculcate the habit of a healthy lifestyle,” said an officer of the unit.
Kabaddi Competition was organised in which Teams from the villages of Kalsiyan, Nowshera, Lamberi, and Dandesar participated in the Kabaddi competition.
“The aim of organising such an event was to promote sporting activities in the Area of Responsibility (AoR) by engaging youth and students and providing a platform to talented players” added the officer.
He further said that the Inter Village Kabaddi Competition was organised for youths in age groups of 16-24 years.
The event was witnessed by Sangeeta Sharma, a member of District Development Council, Lamberi along with 102 students, 31-local populace, 20-school students, and Sarpanch of Lamberi.
The event culminated with the distribution of prizes and medals to the winners and runners-up.
Speaking on the occasion dignitaries said that sports is an integral part of personality development and constructive involvement of youth in such activities will help nurture a brighter future of the nation.
