Daraba, April 14:–. Indian Army celebrated “Baisakhi” at Daraba. Troops deployed in difficult areas of Poonch welcomed the Indian New year by celebrating Baisakhi with zeal and enthusiasm. Baisakhi also signifies the formation of the Khalsa Panth founded by 10th Sikh Guru Gobind Singh Ji in year 1699.
The celebration was also attended by various opinion makers of the area. During informal interaction, the civilians opined that such events not only spread message of peace and harmony but a long lasting bond is established made between Awaam and Army. A total of 15 civilians attended the event.
