**4 AK magazines and a large quantity of AK Rifl e ammunition among recovery
RAJOURI SEPT 19:-In a major success, alert troops along the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district recovered a cache of war-like stores from a terrorist hideout on Friday evening. The Doda Battalion launched the joint operation in the Madhar area of the Poonch sector.
The recovery includes one AK-series rifle, four magazines, 20 hand grenades, and a large quantity of ammunition. Search operations are continuing in the area.
Confirming the development, the White Knight Corps posted on X: “Alert White Knight Corps troops while carrying out an intelligence-based joint search operation with J&K Police recovered one weapon (AK series), four AK magazines, 20 hand grenades, and other war-like stores in the Poonch sector. Search operation is in progress.”
It may be recalled that in ongoing action against terrorists and their sympathisers, Poonch Police recently recovered seven AK rifles from three arrested terrorists on August 31 and September 14. Those recoveries were based on information extracted during interrogation of three arrested Army porters—Tariq Sheikh of Azamabad, and Riyaz Ahmad and Mohammad Shafi of Chamber Kinari village in Mandi tehsil of Poonch district.
