AGPS’s 12th class student dies in suspicious circumstances in Rajouri.

RAJOURI NOV 25:- In tragic and suspicious circumstances, a 12th class student at Army Goodwill Public School (AGPS) Rajouri died in Jammu hospital on the intervening night of November 24 & 25.
17-years-old Mohd Irfan son of Mohd Bashir resident of Mangota in Thanamandi tehsil of Rajouri district was a regular and brilliant student at AGS since 5th class and had won many medals in cocurricular activities.
According to relatives, on Sunday evening the warden of the hostel contacted the father of Mohd Irfan and informed about the ailing condition of his son who was admitted in the Associated Hospital Government Medical College (AH GMC) by the school authorities at 7 pm.
As the father is poor, he requested relatives and reached Rajouri on a motorbike.
Reportedly doctors diagnosed that Mohd Irfan has consumed (deliberately or accidentally) some poisonous substance and his condition started deteriorating.
Doctors at AH GMC referred him to the Government Hospital in Jammu for specialised treatment.
Relatives alleged that doctors at Jammu refused to have admitted him as Irfan was juvenile and directed to take him to a designated hospital, but he died at the gate of the hospital at about 3 am.
The body was brought to his native village today and namaz-e-janaza was performed at 6.30 pm.
Father of the deceased Mohd Bashir has demanded an in-depth inquiry into the suspicious death of his son.
He said: “Irfan was in the hostel from November 14 to 24, when he went outside despite strict security in the school campus to purchase poison as it was claimed that he had consumed poisonous substance”.
Inhabitants of the area and family members have demanded detailed investigation into the suspicious death of Mohd Irfan as they smell some foul play in his death.
