SRINAGAR DECM 01:-J&K Development Foundation successfully organised the grand finale of the A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Premier League – Pulwama, a premier cricketing event held to engage the youth of Kashmir in constructive activities through sports.
The league featured 32 cricket teams exclusively from Pulwama district, competing in a series of matches, including day-night games, all of which were broadcast live. The final match took place at Sheikh Momin Playground, Dangerpora Padgampora, and marked the closure of the event aimed at nurturing talent and fostering community spirit.
Dr. Hina Shafi Bhat, Chairperson of J&K Khadi & Village Industries Board, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Esteemed dignitaries including Maj Gen Balbir Singh (GOC Victor Force Awantipora), Maj Gen Dhananjay Joshi (GOC Designate, Victor Force Awantipora), and senior officials from the district administration and law enforcement, also attended as Guests of Honour.
The event, organized under the banner “Ab Khelega Nowjawan,” underscores the transformative power of sports in building a prosperous society by providing the youth an opportunity to enhance their skills and aspire for greater achievements.
