Poonch April 16:– District Courts Poonch, in which Judicial Officers, Bar Members, Bank Employees, litigants and general public participated with full enthusiasm. While starting National Lok Adalat Chairman DLSA Poonch Mr. Ashok Kumar Shavan (Pr. Distt. & Sessions Judge) Poonch highlighted the positive aspects of Lok Adalat and described it as the need of the hour and stressed upon general public to come forward to take benefit of these Lok Adalat.
At District H.Q eight benches were constituted. First bench was presided by Sh. Ashok Kumar Shavan Chairman DLSA (Pr. Distt &Sessions Judge) Poonch and assisted by Mr. Aslam Chouhan Advocate.
Second Bench was presided by Madan Lal CJM (Chairman TLSC Poonch) and assisted by Mr. Abdul Majeed Khan Advocate vice president bar Poonch. Third Bench was presided by Mr. Sarfraz Nawaz Special mobile magistrate Poonch and assisted by Mr. Mohd Ishaq Khan Advocate. Forth Bench was presided by Mr. Shafiq Ahmed Malik District mobile magistrate Poonch and assisted by Mr. Sanjay Raina Advocate.
Fifth Bench was presided by Mr. Zaheer Ahmed Kafi Assistant Commissioner Revenue District Poonch and assisted by Mr. Anjum Bashir Khan. Sixth Bench was presided by Mr. Abid Hussain shah Assistant Labour Commissioner Poonch .Seventh Bench was presided by Mr. Shakeel Ahmed District Social welfare officer Poonch. Eighth Bench was presided by Mr. Mushtaq Hussain Executive officer Municipality Poonch.
At Surankote bench was presided Mr. Manzoor Ahmed Khan Chairman TLSC Surankote. At Mendhar bench was presided by Miss. Shazia Choudhary Chairman TLSC (JMIC) Mendhar assisted by Advocate Mohd Rashid Mughal and Advocate Ghulam Rasool. A total no of 951 cases were taken up in today’s Lok Adalat including civil, criminal, MACT, Bank Recovery, Pre-Litigation and other cases. Out of these 853 cases were settled by all the above mentioned benches by way of Mediation, Conciliation and compromise. In MACT one cases were settled, 22 Criminal cases, 11 civil cases were also decided and total amount settle of Rs.2049660/- Light refreshment was also served to all the participants.
