BUDHAL FEBRUARY 23:–First of its kind Jammu and Kashmir Police Officer SHO Niku Ram Thakur was accorded a grand farewell by the people of Budhal on his transfer from Police Station Budhal. People from different areas of Budhal visited Budhal police station for two consecutive days to bid farewell to the transferred police officer. People were seen offering bouquets, shawls, and other gifts.

Emotional scenes were also seen on this farewell ceremony and after learning about the transfer of Niku Ram Thakur SHO Budhal some citizens of Budhal expressed regret. Civil society members also organized a farewell function in honor of Niku Ram Thakur SHO.

In this regard, a function was organized at police station Budhal, along with senior citizens, other civil society members of Budhal were also present. Social worker Muhammad Farooq inqlabi also participated in the farewell ceremony. He appreciated Mr. Niku Ram Thakur SHO Budhal as a sincere dedicated and honest police officer.

Members of civil society including Zaid Sagar Shabbir Kamlak Waqar Lone Manzoor Naik Nazir Thakar Tilak Raj Pandit Iqbal Thakar Arif Chak Yasir Latif Sufi alam din. Bashir Chaudhary along with distinguished citizens of Budhal were present at the farewell ceremony.

Members of the civil society felicitated the transferred officer as an expression of good will Civil society members presented souvenirs as a goodwill gesture to the outgoing officer and wished him the best well for his future responsibilities.

The participants appreciated SHO Niku Ram Thakur. He praised him for speaking several initiatives to engage the youth to control drug addiction and prevent various social evils.

Manzoor Naik Waqar Lone Zaid Sagar and Shabbir Kamlak recalled the public service rendered by Niku Ram Thakur as SHO Budhal. He said that he treats everyone with respect.

Addressing the participants, SHO Niku Ram Thakur thanked the people of Budhal and said that the people of Budhal are cooperating with the administration in every way. People got a lot of support and love.
