RAJOURI, JUNE, 08: To take stock of the COVID 19 mitigation efforts in the district, Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Rajesh K Shavan today convened a meeting with the concerned officers here in his office chamber.
Among the others, ADDC, Pawan Kumar; ADC Rajouri, Sachin Dev Singh; DFO Rajouri, Arshdeep Singh; DFO Nowshera, Suresh Manda; DFO SF, Sanjay Kumar Saraf; CEO RDA, Vivek Puri; AC Defence, Saleem Quereshi; CAO, Mahesh Verma; ACD, Sushil Khajuria; CHO, Madan Lal; DSEO, Bilal Rashid Mir; CAHO, DPO, Chander Kant Bhagat; DSHO, Dr Sarfraz Naseem Chowdhury and other concerned officers attended the meeting.
The Deputy Commissioner while speaking during the meeting said that although the District Administration is working at its best potential to counter the pandemic in the district. It is a need of an hour to make extra efforts to mitigate the COVID19 pandemic in the district to save the precious human lives.
The Deputy Commissioner asked the concerned officers to remain in a state of alertness to meet any challenges amid Covid-19 and emphasized aggressive testing and reiterated that the vaccination process is a panacea and permanent solution to curb the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Deputy Commissioner said that the progress regarding the vaccination of the 45 above age group is near about 75 per cent in the district and asked the concerned officers to prepare the list of the left out beneficiaries and ensure that all the persons in the said age group are vaccinated at the earliest.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned officers to get a house to house survey conducted by the panchayat level teams in the rural areas and motivate the people to go enthusiastically for the Covid vaccination.
The Deputy Commissioner also asked for submitting the report regarding the panchayat wise vaccination of the targeted groups daily by 04 PM sharp through Block Development Officers.
The Deputy Commissioner directed for vaccinating and testing of all the vulnerable and high-risk groups and nomads. He also asked for maintaining separate records of vaccination and testing of the nomads.
The Deputy Commissioner directed them to ensure that all the COVID positive patients in the rural areas who don’t have much space at their residence are immediately shifted to the corona care centres set up in their panchayats to check the further transmission of the infection.
The Deputy Commissioner asked for designating one school in each panchayat as COVID Control Room which would function under the supervision of the nodal officer of that panchayat. All the members of the village level committees shall remain present in the control room.
Regarding the IEC activities, the Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned officers to generate massive awareness among the general public about the COVID appropriate behaviour in their local languages like Gogri, Pahari, Hindi, Urdu etc.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Commissioner also reviewed the progress regarding the implementation of the One District One Product scheme in the district and asked the concerned officers from the Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Department to take concrete steps to enhance the production of milk and milk products in the district so that the Rajouri can be made an export hub in the identified products.
Regarding the plantation of the aesthetic plants along the sides of Rajouri-Thanamandi road, the concerned officer from the Forest Department informed that the project in this regard has been submitted to the concerned authorities for release of funds and the work on the plantation would be started as soon as the funds are received.
Concerning the progress regarding the registration of the beneficiaries under the SEHAT scheme, the Deputy Commissioner asked the concerned officers to ensure the hundred percent registration of all the eligible beneficiaries of the district under the scheme.
