Army celebrate to pay tribute and recognise the valour, bravery and sacrifice made by soldiers of Indian army.

RAJOURI JUNE 01 :–On 01 Jun 2021, Indian army commemorated the emphatic victory of 1971 war which led to liberation of Bangladesh.The event was celebrated to pay tribute and recognise the valour, bravery and sacrifice made by our gallant soldiers of Indian army.

The victory flame travelling across the mountains of Rajouri was received at Thannamandi with full military honours.

As a mark of respect, a solemn wreath laying ceremony was organised at Thannamandi war memorial. Veer nari Smt Sardar Begum w/o late Lance Naik Malik Mohd Iqbal was felicitated. Interaction with ex-servicemen and the youth was also carried out on this occassion. The swarnim vijay mashal journey through the villages in and around Thannamandi left a indelible impact on the youth.

The entire environement was filled with emotional ferver with celebration of Swarnim Vijay Varsh. The slogans of Bharat Mata Ki Jai and Saheed Lance Naik Malik Kohd Iqbal Ki Jai echoed through the entire valley. The local populace including veterans recorded the gratitude towards the Indian army to commemorate the victory of 1971 war.
