Rajouri May 30:--After objection from the representatives from Auqaf Islamia that construction work has been taking place on Wakaf land (property) in village Kheora, Assistant Commissioner Revenue (ACR)Rajouri has constituted a commission for the demarcation of the land in question.
Meanwhile, Romesh Chander r/o Kheora has also approached the ACR office claiming that he is the owner of land bearing Khasra No.27/1 situated in the village and has started the construction work.
However, representatives from the Auqaf Islamia claimed that the land on which Romesh has started construction work falls under Khasra No.30 which is Wakaf property.
Auqaf Islamia representatives have demanded the demarcation of the disputed land through a commission to ascertain the fact and for further action.
To resolve the issue, Tahir Mustafa Malik, ACR vide his office order issued on Saturday has constituted a commission for the demarcation of the disputed land.
The commission is headed b Mohd Rafiq, Tehsildar, Rajouri; while Afzal Ahmed,Naib Tehsildar; Mohd Rafiq OQ, tehsil office; Fazal-ur-Rehman, Patwari Halqa (PH) concerned and Rinku Sharma, additional P.H, Saranoo would be the members of the commission.
In the order, ACR has also instructed to conduct demarcation in the presence of the parties in the dispute and to furnish the report by or before June 01.
