NARCOTIC SMUGGLING BID FOILED AT UDHAMPUR 255 GRAMs OF HEROINE (Chitta), 01 ELECTRONIC WEIGHING MACHINE RECOVERED, 01 NARCOTIC SMUGGLER ARRESTED

Udhampur May 24:– Continuing JKP’s #WarOnDrugs offensive to contain the spread of narcotic drugs & psychotropic substances, Udhampur police recovered 255 grams of contraband substance Heroin (Chitta), 01 weighing machine and cash of Rs 2,000/- from narcotic smuggler at Udhampur.

Police patrolling party of PS Udhampur led by Insp. Chanchal Singh SHO PS Udhampur under the supervision of Anwaar-ul-Haq Addl. SP Udhampur, Sahil Mahajan DySP Hqrs. Udhampur, while patrolling last night at Dhar road near Tawi bridge Roun Domail, stopped one vehicle (Thar) bearing regd. PB31H/9856 for checking.

During search of the said vehicle, 255 grams of Heroin (Chita), 01 Electronic weighing machine was recovered from the said vehicle.
On enquiry the driver of the vehie disclosed his identity as shubham Gupta @ Gagu S/O Late Yashpaul Gupta R/O near Pandhav Mandir Udhampur.

In this connection, a case FIR No. 169/2021 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act stands registered at PS Udhampur and further investigation is going on.
