Rajouri, May, 20:–The Administrator Auqaf, Tahir Mustafa today paid a visit to the Shadra Sharif Shrine and took the first hand appraisal of the developmental activities being carried out there.
Among the others, AD tourism and officials from PDD, PWD and other line departments accompanied the Administrator during his visit.
Shadra-sharief is a famous and beautiful shrine standing atop a beautiful hillock near Thanamandi, the 19th century shrine is dedicated to revered Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah.It is the major site for the religious tourism and every year pilgrims in lakhs visit the shrine to seek blessings.
The Administrator said that the holy shrine of Shadra Sharif has a huge tourist potential and all steps are being taken to enhance its beauty so that there is an upsurge in the number of tourists.
The Administrator asked the concerned officer to speed up the pace of work on the beautification of the Shrine besides, also directed the employees for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in the shrine and following Covid appropriate behaviour.
The Administrator also emphasised the employees working in the shrine to give their best and work hard in performing their legitimate assigned duties in a way to maintain the sanctity of the shrine.
