Police Nabbed Two Persons With Narcotics in Gursai area of Mendhar Subdivision.

POONCH MAY 18:–On the direction of SSP Poonch Vinod Kumar-IPS SHO P/S Gursai insp.Niaz Ahmed along with police party established a naka at phamranar under the supervision of SDPO Mendhar Z.A.Jafri -KPS . During naka checking an ECO bearing registration no. JK12B/4935 Came from Mendhar side was signalled to stop for checking but the driver accelerated the vehicle and tried to escape .The alert Police party swung into action and apprehended two persons along with their vehicle . During their personal search recovered 710 grammes of narcotics (50 packets of charus like substance )from their posession. The arrested persons were identified as Saddam Hussain S/O Mohammad Hussain R/O Ari and
Imran Khan S/o Tufail Hussain R/O Ari.
In this regard FIR no.50/2021 U/S 8/20 NDPS in P/S Gursai has been registered and further investigation is going on . It is pertinent to mention here that this is the second major recovery of narcotics during this month by Police .
District Police Poonch again requested general public to have a sharp look on narcotic smugglers and if they have information about any such elements share it with Police to eradicate this narcotic menace from society .
