Rajouri, May, 18: To ease COVID hardships, Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Rajesh K Shavan today provided financial aid to the tune of Rs 89.71 lacs to 8861 construction workers.
Assistant Labour Commissioner was present on the occasion.
The financial aid had been provided to the construction workers following the announcement made by Lieutenant Governor J&K to ease the hardships of the construction workers amid the CoronaVirus pandemic.
The Deputy Commissioner asked the ALC to get all the construction workers registered with the Labour Department so that they can avail themselves of various welfare schemes being implemented by the Department in the district.
He also said that every registered worker will get 4000 per year in four instalments of 1000 each.
