Man held for manufacturing liquor in Kalakote Police Public meetings held at Galuti, Maira villages

Rajouri Feb 22:- olice on Friday arrested a man from Pathera village of Kalakote for illegal manufacturing and sale of desi liquor in the area.

Based upon a specific information regarding manufacturing and sale of desi liquor by two persons namely Jogiter Singh son of Angrez Singh and Swaran Singh son of Jagat Singh, both residents of Pathera , a team headed by SHO Kalakote Mustaj Ahmed under the supervision of SDPO Nowshera Brijesh Sharma and Additional SP Nowshera GL Sharma raided in pathera forest area.

During the raid the said persons were nabbed while manufacturing desi liquor illegally.

The desi liquor along with lahan and utensils meant for manufacturing liquor was recoverd and seized on spot .

FIR no 11/2019 under sections 48(a) (e) excise act has been registerd at police station Kalakot and duo have been arrested.

Further investigation is going on.

Police Public Meet

Jammu and Kashmir police on Friday conducted two separate police public interaction meetings at Galuti village of Police Station Manjakote and Maira village of Police Station Rajouri.

In Galuti, meeting was chaired by SDPO Manjakote Nisar Khoja in which local people took part and put forth a number of issues of local level.

People especially raised problem of dilapidated road condition.

Officer assured the participants that their issues will be communicated to concerned authorities through district police office.

Another meeting was held in Maira village of Rajouri which was chaired by SHO Rajouri Ajaz Haider.

Several issues were discussed in the meeting wherein participants were exhorted upon to keep extending best possible cooperation to police.
